18-yr-old student auctioned her virginity online, now says it was all made up...so what really happened?

From as long as we can possibly remember, virginity is a huge debate. Some think it is precious while some don't. Others, decide to sell it online for a few fat dollars. Nicole Minetti (pseudonym), 18, who recently began the process of auctioning off her virginity, claiming that the funds raised will help her buy her family a house, travel the world and study at Cambridge University has backtracked. Why? Because she never intended to do it in the first place.

The part-time Italian model, says that she was just being silly, but was she? "I did a stupid thing of which I'm deeply ashamed and if I could turn back time I wouldn't do it again but I didn't do it to flaunt myself."

But the joke escalated quickly and Nicole is definitely in hot water now. Speaking to La 27 Ora, she said, "I'm very sorry, I apologize to everyone, first to my father and my mother. It started as a provocation, I wanted to see if anyone was really willing to spend some money on something like that."

The truth was in fact, that she never meant a word of it

"I realized how much I was in this story when the one-million-euro bid came and the agency asked me to consult an economist to choose how to get paid. So I got scared. The more time passes, the more everything seems true and I do not know how to get out of it.

She had initially approached two agencies with the idea. " I had read about some girls who had done it and I wanted to see if anyone would be willing to pay for me too. I contacted several foreign agencies, they asked me for the gynecologist's certificate and I sent it from one of the visits done in September.

With the "Cinderella Escorts" I have also signed a contract that provides for ten thousand euro penalties: they asked me not to put the date, but then they did not call me back. The most serious ones seemed to me these of "Elite Models Vip" and I authorized them to publish my photos"

The agency had asked her to "be credible" and that is when she came up with the lies. "So the story was born that I had to pay for my studies at Cambridge, help my sister and buy a house for my parents. But the truth is that I am an only child and I do not even want to undertake economic studies"

Nicole has perhaps realized that the real world has consequences. "I wanted to get out of it, but from the agency they told me that I would have to declare that I had sold my virginity, they went out of their credibility. So I took time. But the news had already arrived in Italy, everyone knew it at my school. The fact that in the interview with Sun I said it was something I thought of when I was sixteen. It is not true, I swear.

"I never thought to do it seriously, I thought I could stop at any time, without problems. But now it has become a nightmare. The agency keeps calling me, asking me where I want the bank transfer to be credited, they say a one-and-a-six-dollar bid has arrived."

The escort agency Elite Models VIP has slammed Nicole - as a "big cheat" and says they were never told she wanted to cancel the auction. She claimed that she was offered a six-figure sum after photographs of her posing in lingerie appeared on an escort service website to advertise the sale.

The agency has also denied that they were harassing her and said that, while they have now canceled the auction, she had told them on Saturday that she was going through with the deal. The site confirmed that the bids had reached £1.4 million (€1.6 million) and that she was told this on Saturday.

It read, “She didn't tell us a thing about this news or ask for the removal of her advert. We only informed her about the auction status and asked her for payment details to proceed as she wanted to accept the offer, that's all.

“She told us that she was very interested in this bid, and she wanted to go on with the auction and sell it asap."

In their statement, Elite Models added, “We had NO idea that this was a ‘joke’.  Nor did she ask us to cancel the auction, although it's true that she was worried about her parents. We have now canceled her auction and her page on our site.

“Since we are an advertising platform any advertiser can cancel her publication anytime and she is aware of that, but she didn't even ask us to remove her auction. From the beginning, she told us the story that she wanted to fund her studies and help her family because of her economic situation, which we believed.

“She was very convincing in her speech, and after many interviews with her, we decided to accept her on our site. Unfortunately for us as an agency all this was a big cheat to become famous.”

In the era of fake news, Nicole created the perfect lie

Nicole had last week contacted The Sun and revealed her plans to sell off her virginity to the highest bidder. In a pre-recorded video message sent to them, which she appears to have filmed from her bedroom, she claimed the funds would buy a property for her parents and put her through university.

Nicole, who used a pseudonym so as not to reveal her true identity, had previously claimed that she wanted to move to the UK and study business at Cambridge University after splitting with an older man.

Speaking about her auction plans, she had said, "I wanted a good education so I started looking on the web for ways to finance my studies and I came across a series of auction adverts and found there were girls who had sold themselves for £3.1 million (€3.5 million) so I decided I would do the same when I turned 18.

“I hope to get as much as possible to fund my studies, to help my sister and my family, and buy my parents a house. “There are a lot of men interested who are writing to the agency and the highest offer we have at the moment is €1m (£890,000).”

The ad, that has now been taken down by the agency.

The young woman had provided documents proving her identity and age. The auction was listed on European website Elite Models VIP - not to be confused with Elite Models in the UK. The site boasts “exclusive international escorts” and claims to “provide a luxury escort service for selective gentlemen worldwide.” It currently has five “virgin escorts” on the books.

The site promises to let a doctor, selected by the client, verify the girls’ virginity before they spend the night together.

Previously speaking about her decision, Nicole said she had a "little bit of fear" but added: “I am quite nervous but I am also quite confident because if a man is disposed to pay so much for you, he will certainly be a kind person. I’m sure we will have a great time together."

At that time, Nicole had admitted to keeping the auction a secret from her parents. “I don’t want my parents to know about this because they are very strict and they wouldn’t approve and even my friends don’t know anything about it.

“My family would be destroyed if they knew.  If they discover one day I will talk to them and hopefully, they will understand.”
