Two women held victim down as three men took turns raping her at knifepoint in Bronx apartment
A 36-year-old Bronx woman was beaten and gangraped by three men while being held down by two women, the NYPD said.
Four men and two women forced the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, into an apartment in the Olinville neighborhood at about 12.30 am on Friday, police said. Once inside, the violent gang beat the woman and repeatedly raped her at knifepoint. The victim was reportedly walking down the street when she was jumped in the shadows and dragged into the apartment, per WABC.
While three of the men raped the woman, the other three accomplices held her down.
Police arrested three men, Bakary Traore, 24, John Cuevas, 19, and Alec Cepero, 24, and two women, Keyna Cuevas, 24, and Nicole Puga, 21, following the attack, per a criminal complaint obtained by the New York Daily News.
That said, authorities are still on the hunt for the fourth male suspect.
The suspects reportedly beat the woman until she was bloody, the complaint stated. Once inside the apartment, one of the men brandished a knife and ordered the victim to "take off your clothes."
The two women and one male suspect subsequently held down the victim while the other three male suspects took turns raping her and forcing her to perform oral sex on them at knifepoint. Speaking to the New York Post, sources in law enforcement said the woman somehow fought her way out eventually and was given back her belongings by a woman who was inside the apartment, although it is unclear if she was a part of the gang.
However, the victim's iPhone was reportedly missing when she got back to her property.
According to sources, the apartment where the attack took place belonged to Keyna and John Cuevas. Having said that, all five arrested suspects were charged with sexual assault offenses, robbery, conspiracy, and assault. The district attorney reportedly requested $250,000 bail for each of the suspects at their arraignment on Friday. However, the judge set their bail at $25,000 each.
