Minhaj has been a correspondent on 'The Daily Show' on Comedy Central since 2014. The comedian had his breakout in 2017 when he hosted the White House Correspondents' Dinner following President Donald Trump's election.

Minhaj currently has a comedy special on Netflix titled 'Hasan Minhaj: homecoming King'.

The streaming service has ordered 32 episodes of Minhaj's new show, which is slated to launch sometime later this year. He also has a new special that will be airing on Comedy Central. He will be staying as a correspondent on with 'The Daily Show' until the coming summer.

Hasan Minhaj's fellow 'Daily Show' contributor Michelle Wolfe is also heading to Netflix to host her own show. She is going to be hosting this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Netflix is attempting to breach the talk show space. Currently, the streaming service launched talk shows like David Letterman's interview series 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction' and 'The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale'. Netflix also airs 'Bill Nye Saves the World' as well as Jerry Seinfeld's 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee'.
