'The Masked Singer' Season 2 fans think the singer behind the Butterfly mask is Destiny's Child's Michelle Williams
'The Masked Singer' Season 2 has us hooked to our screens every Wednesday night. We've all become fans of the famed reality TV competition, and can't help but put on our thinking caps to figure out who the celebrities are under the mask.
After the October 16th episode of 'The Masked Singer', viewers can't help but speculate who is behind the Butterfly mask.
Fans already claim they know who is the celebrity under the Flamingo mask — Adrienne Bailon, the Fox — Jeremy Renner, the Flower — Patti LaBelle and the Black Widow — Raven Symone.
But now, moving on to the next fan-favorite celebrity, fans speculate that it might be singer Michelle Williams under the Butterfly mask.
This is based on clues given by the Butterfly who said, "After achieving success in many stages of life, I found myself terrified by the one place I used to call home." Her hint about the "many stages of life" might be a reference to her time on Destiny's Child.
When the Butterfly revealed that she is "terrified by the one place I used to call home", it featured a picture of London which could probably refer to the time she spent in London.
She added, "I'm here to take you to church. Can I get an amen?". Michelle had released three solo gospel albums and this adds up to the reference. Taking to Twitter after the episode, fans have speculated that it is Michelle Williams under the Butterfly Mask.
"The Butterfly is clearly Michelle Williams Say My Name.... Depression... Break-up.... Michelle went through all of that #TheMaskedSinger," a fan wrote.
Adding to that another fan said, "So we're going to pretend the butterfly ain't Michelle Williams? Those are destiny’s child clues #TheMaskedSinger."
"TheMaskedSinger Michelle Williams is the Butterfly. The London part is because she starred in the play Chicago in London," shared a fan.
Another added, "the butterfly has to be Michelle Williams. the two clues that I got was the 'take me to the church' reference, could that be about Chad Johnson. and the butterfly tattoo that michelle has one #TheMaskedSinger."
"The butterfly is freakin Michelle Williams! I know them shaky runs from anywhere! #TheMaskedSinger," shared another fan.
