'The Bachelorette' season 15: Hannah Brown sends fan favorite Matt Donald home and they can't handle it

Out of the 30 who entered the mansion on night one of 'The Bachelorette', eight were sent home without a rose.
PUBLISHED MAY 14, 2019

The wait is finally over as the much awaited 'The Bachelorette' season 15 finally premiered.

Monday night on ABC saw Hannah Brown back in her beast mode all set to find true love. Though she seemed awkward and nervous at first, it looks like she is finding her way through. Though Brown is a beauty queen who had won Miss Alabama USA in 2018, she is now on a journey to find the man of her dreams with whom she would want to spend the rest of her life with. Brown first appeared in last season of 'The Bachelor,' and though it did not work out between her and Colton Underwood in season 23, she is back and ready to be in charge.

Now that the show has begun, the element of drama is something that everyone knows will permeate the show. And we got to see more than we bargained for on the first night itself. We witnessed Brown send one contestant home even before the rose ceremony. And it was none other than Scott Anderson. Anderson was the first guy Brown sent home because she got to know he had a girlfriend back home and had been with her till the day before appearing on 'The Bachelorette'.

Though Anderson tried to make excuses and stay, Brown was stern and sent him back home. Brown also yelled at Anderson for not walking out of the mansion fast enough. We also got to see Demi Burnett and Katie Morton who called themselves 'Hannah's Angels' make an appearance on the show. Though everything went off well during the premiere, at the end of the night Brown had to send contestants back home. Out of the 30 who entered the mansion on night one, 8 were sent home without a rose.

One amongst them was Matt Donald. Donald works on a farm with his family, who are deaf. He is the only immediate family member who isn't hard of hearing. He made a cute entrance and the duo bonded over his family and football. But sadly Donald was sent home without a rose on the first night itself.

After seeing Donald being sent home, fans were disappointed and revealed that Brown should not have sent him home. "Is anyone crying about Matt Donald getting kicked off on night one?! My favorite is already gone! #BachelorNation #MattDonald," wrote a fan.

Adding to that another fan said, "I was team #mattdonald, can’t believe you did me dirty like that @AlabamaHannah #TheBachelorette."

"What were you thinking #TheBachelorette #MattDonald was my favorite!!! but you kept John Paul Jones?!?!?!?!" said another fan.

Some fans also revealed that they hope to see Donald in 'Bachelor in Paradise' or 'The Bachelor.'

"Noooooo!! I nominate #MattDonald for #Bachelor we need more ASL REPRESENTATION IN REALITY SHOWS #bachelorette," said a fan. While another added, "RT if you are disappointed that #MattDonald got sent home on night one and want to see him back in Paradise!! #BachelorNation."

With 22 men left vying for Brown's heart, we can't wait to see what the next episode holds.

'The Bachelorette' season 15 airs every Monday night on ABC. Check your local listings for more information.
