'The A List': Release date, plot, cast and everything you need to know about the supernatural teen drama on Netflix
In July 2019, Netflix acquired the rights to air Kindle Entertainment's 'The A List' in the US and worldwide. The supernatural teen drama with influences from 'Riverdale', 'Stranger Things' and 'Pretty Little Liars' consists of 13 episodes of roughly 25 minutes each.
The series originally aired on BBC iPlayer, the UK-broadcaster's streaming service in October 2018.
Release Date
Season one of the show will drop on Netflix on August 30, 2019.
Plot
The show follows Mia who comes to the seemingly idyllic Peregrine Island along with other teenagers for a summer camp. Mia is popular with the others until she comes across Amber. Mia and Amber's fight for popularity is accompanied by strange events around the island. The trailer reveals that the teenagers are stranded as the ferry service to the island is stopped following the closure of the island the previous year after someone died. Mia begins to suspect that there is more to Amber and thinks she is dangerous when the "holiday of a lifetime" turns into a twisted nightmare.

Lisa Ambalavanar is an English actress whose acting credits include BBC's 'Doctors'. Ambalavanar plays the role of Mia.
Ellie Duckles
Ellie Duckles is an English actress who has appeared on ITV's 'The Bay' and Netflix's 'Safe'. She will play Amber.
Jacob Dudman
Jacob Dudman is a British actor known for his role as Giulio de Medici in 'Medici'. Dudman plays the role of Amber's and Mia's love interest, Dev.
Creators
The show was created by BAFTA-winning writers Dan Berlinka and Nina Metivier. Berlinka and Metivier previously worked together on 'Dixi', a mystery drama. Berlinka previously worked on 'Hollyoaks' while Metivier has worked on 'Doctor Who'.
