'My Truth: The Rape of 2 Coreys': Who's Dominick Brascia, the Charlie Sheen whistleblower-turned-rape accused?
Former teen idol and musician Corey Feldman's much-anticipated documentary about a pedophilia ring in Hollywood is just weeks away from its release. Called '(My) Truth: The Rape of 2 Coreys', it will tell the real story of Hollywood's bigwigs who were responsible for his and his late best friend Corey Haim's sexual abuse when they were child actors.
As the world waits with bated breath, we look back at one aspect of the case, one that involved former actor Dominick Brascia.
Brascia was well known for his films like 'Friday the 13th: A New Beginning', 'My Life as a Troll' and 'Evil Laugh'. He was catapulted to the limelight and became forever entangled in this tale of two Coreys after he went on to claim to the National Enquirer in 2017 that Charlie Sheen, 'Two and a Half Men' actor who was once a Hollywood bad boy, had raped Corey Haim when he was 14 in 1986 on the set of the film 'Lucas'.
The story was an obvious shocker and Brascia claimed that before Haim died in 2010, he had told him about it. "Haim told me he had sex with Sheen when they filmed Lucas. He told me they smoked pot and had sex. He said they had anal sex. Haim said after it happened Sheen became very cold and rejected him. When Corey wanted to fool around again, Charlie was not interested,” Brascia told the Enquirer, adding that they had sex again in a few years.
"Haim told me he had sex with Sheen again. He claimed he didn’t like it and was finally over Sheen. He said Charlie was a loser," Brascia told the outlet. Haim had been dead for more than seven years when this controversy sparked and many thought it was distasteful of Brascia, who did not have a great acting career and was fading.
However, the tables turned when Haim's mother claimed that it wasn't Sheen who had sexually abused her son, but it was Brascia. Judy Haim slammed the claims on the Doctor Oz Show the same year and said Brascia had sexually assaulted her son in 1987 during the making of 'The Lost Boys'. "This guy Dominick is the guy that abused my son," she said. "My son said so."
Sheen's attorneys had vehemently denied the allegations against him and there were rumors that Judy had been bought by Sheen. "If you ever go back and watch any interview that my son ever gave, you would understand what I'm talking about. He hid nothing... Dominick was sitting on my son, pinning him to the floor, not allowing him to move. I took a pool cue, and he will remember that, and I went so close to his head and I said: 'You better get off of him or I'm bashing your head in.' And he got off of him and we left," Judy said.
Prior to these revelations, the mother said her son hadn't been abused and that Feldman was making up stories to garner attention. Brascia denied the claims and said they were nothing but good friends. Feldman was silent at the time. His reps had said at the time, "Corey can only speak about his own experiences” and anything he was told by others is merely hearsay.”
He had also been accused of sexually assaulting Haim before this, in September 2016. However, it wasn't taken seriously.
Brascia, unfortunately, was never investigated in the matter. He died before they could be looked into, on November 26, 2018. He died of natural causes at the age of 60.
