The Backstreet Boys want to collaborate with the Spice Girls and we're in cheesy pop heaven

If you thought that the Spice Girls announcing their reunion to perform again was the only good news that you could get in the world of pop, then you are wrong!

AJ McLean, a member of boyband Backstreet Boys, might have given his fans some hope about a possible collaboration with the girl band in the future with his recent tweet.

The band member shared a picture from the reunion that the girls, Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton had recently and wrote, "I’m just saying??? Who wants to see this dream, and long mentioned rumor become a reality. Would you come? I know it’s super late and I should be asleep which I’m finally about to be but after I saw the post earlier today from @emmaleebunton page my eyes lit up my heart got excited and the wheels in my crazy head started spinning so???”

He added, “As they say 'if you build it they will come' #makeithappen#supertour #bsbanspicegirls? Now let that thought settle in. Good night all.”

After reading AJ's tweet, people could not wait to see the day when the two bands decide to do a song together.

One person tweeted, "Finally all my dreams come true!!!” while another said: “This needs to happen!”

Meanwhile, another of the backstreet boys, Nick Carter, had previously mentioned how he would love to perform with the Spice Girls and maybe, have an "epic tour" as well.

"There have been talks about it, you know? But I think it's all about the kind of getting the girls together, and they're doing things with their families and everything," he wrote.

"We're always open to going on tour with them. I think it would be an epic tour if we ever did it."

The news about the Spice Girls reuniting was confirmed after the girls shared a picture from their reunion on February 2.

Just a couple of hours after the photo was shared online, a statement from publicist Jo Milloy was released on behalf of the band which stated that all of them were happy to see the love and support they were getting from their fans.

Knowing that the Spice Girls are up for a few gigs, we just hope that this collaboration with the American boy band becomes a reality.
