Avenged Sevenfold announce 'End of the World' tour dates with Prophets of Rage

Grammy nominated heavy metal group Avenged Sevenfold have announced the "End Of The World Tour", a North American headlining run produced by Live Nation that kicks off July 22 at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts, reports Spin.

There's a big reason for rock and metal fans to rejoice because joining Avenged Sevenfold on their upcoming tour is supergroup Prophets of Rage, who released their debut self-titled LP last year.

Also joining the California based rockers are Three Days Grace.

The tour kicks off July 22 at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts and wraps September 2 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas.

On hitting the road with Prohpets of Rage, frontman M. Shadow told Rolling Stone: "They have experience from an era that we respect. Growing up it was the music of the Nineties that spoke to us the most. These guys are legends and I hope the two audiences can come together to make something special."

Shadow also added that the summer tour "will be our biggest trek yet. In terms of production and song selection, it feels like the whole cycle has been leading up to this."

“Awful pop dominating the airwaves? Political chaos across the land? Wanna fight back? Well, the End Of The World tour is here," said Prophets Of Rage guitarist Tom Morello (who previously played for Rage Against the Machine).

"Prophets of Rage & Avenged Sevenfold have always played absolutely uncompromising music. If you want your summer loud, raw and fearless we'll see you in the pit," he added.

For Avenged Sevenfold, this summer run marks the group's third major tour in support of their latest studio album, 'The Stage', which was released in October 2016. Shadows says the band plans to expand and tweak their setlist from those previous runs, while also adding a few props to their stage show such as pyrotechnics.

Tickets will go on general sale from Friday, March 9, at 10am local time and you can check out the band's official website for more information. Incidentally, Three Days Grace is also set to release their new LP, 'Outsider' on the first day of the tour.

Avenged Sevenfold are currently on tour with Bullet For My Valentine and Breaking Benjamin and will return to Europe in the coming months, which will also include a headline set at the UK's Download festival. Find the full set of dates below:
