Oscars 2018: Rita Moreno will rock the same dress she did on the night she won for West Side Story back in 1962

The actress had won an Academy Award in 1962 for her role in the West Side story

2018 seems to be the year of Rita Morano, with her starring role in Netflix's 'One Day at a Time' and now, a return to the Oscars after a long break. The brilliant actress was the recipient of the Academy Award back in 1962 wherein she was honored in the Best Supporting Actress category for role in 'West Side Story'.

As soon as she was announced to be among the presenters of the 2018 Oscars, Rita began teasing her followers regarding her fashion statement for the night. She tweeted in response to The Academy's list of presenters, "Wait till you see what I'm wearing!!!"

Obviously, she had our attention and now we know all the drama was worth it. It has been revealed that Rita will be repurposing the very gown that she wore on the night that she won an Oscar for West Side Story back in 1962.

Speculation is rife that most of the Oscar presenters are intentionally Latino, in order to take a little heat off the accusations about a lack of Latin representation among the nominees. However, this has not dampened the spirits of the Puerto Rican actress. In fact, she is excited for everyone to see her in her gown. And, truth be told we are excited to see her walk the red carpet in the gown that is close to six decades old.
