Jennifer Lawrence is not quitting acting!

Cue the eye rolls, because apparently, Jennifer Lawrence is NOT quitting acting. Looks like the Silver Linings Playbook actress is thoroughly confused about the direction in which her career is heading. Just a couple of hours after appearing on the BAFTA stage to present an award, J-Law said that she was going to take a year off from her acting career.

The actress said: "I'm going to take the next year off. I'm going to be working with this organization a part of Represent.Us ... trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level."

The actress then went on to explain what she was going to get involved with. “I’m going to be working with this organization as a part of Represent.Us. Trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level. It doesn’t have anything to do with partisan [politics]. It’s just anti-corruption and stuff trying to pass state by state laws that can help prevent corruption, fix our democracy.”

But the word on the street is that the actress is genuinely confused about life and needs to check with her reps before talking to the press. Turns out Jennifer is just deciding which project she's going to move on to next. A spokesperson has confirmed the news with Entertainment Weekly, adding that the actress is not quitting acting.

Jennifer Lawrence is currently promoting her spy-thriller, Red Sparrow and has X-Men: Dark Phoenix coming out later this year. She's also got a few upcoming projects under her belt so we don't really know where the actress is coming from when she says these things. According to her IMDB page, J-Law currently has seven projects in development Ron Howard’s Zelda Fitzgerald biopic Zelda, Adam McKay’s Bad Blood, and more.

She really needs to be careful with what she says! Jennifer was also recently forced to apologize for appearing to be rude towards BAFTA host Joanna Lumley after being introduced as a presenter.

I guess it's true what they say about putting your money where your mouth is. I just don't think Jennifer got the message.
