Queen Elsa from 'Frozen' could be getting a girlfriend!

It's incredible how people banded together for the cause of giving Elsa a girlfriend!

Have you been amazed by the power of the internet yet? We'll tell you why you need to be amazed. The collective power of the internet has given Queen Elsa from 'Frozen' a love interest, and it's a going to be a woman!

'Frozen' fans collectively called for the ice queen to have a female romantic interest. They took to Twitter and pushed for Elsa to have a relationship in the upcoming sequel using the hashtag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend.

This whole thing happened after the 'Frozen' track 'Let It Go' became an unofficial coming out anthem. Thousands of LGBTQ youth related to the song from the movie's soundtrack, giving them hopes that Queen Elsa might come out of her closet in 'Frozen 2'.

Now, thank to that deafening roar from fans, 'Frozen' director Jennifer Lee has taken due note. In an interview with Huffington Post, she said that she was very happy with how Elsa banded so many people together. "I love everything people are saying [and] people are thinking about with our film ― that it’s creating dialogue, that Elsa is this wonderful character that speaks to so many people,” Jennifer said. “It means the world to us that we’re part of these conversations.”

While nothing has been set in stone yet, Jennifer says that there has been a lot of discussion about it. "Where we’re going with it, we have tons of conversations about it, and we’re really conscientious about these things,” she stated.
Disney is known for its flexible approach towards inclusiveness. Recent examples include a scene from 'Beauty and The Beast' in which you can catch a glimpse of LeFou dancing with another man.

So does the fact that there has been some discussion on the subject mean they're going to #GiveElsaAGirlfriend? We'll have to wait and see. 'Frozen 2' is set to hit the big screen in 2019.
