The British Academy Film Awards 2018 saw the best of celeb fashion along with their line of amazing film nominations. The glitzy red carpet event commenced on Sunday at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The A-lister guest list showed a remarkable support to the Time's Up campaign. While there were many who came dressed in black it was these three stars who wowed the fashion police. Jennifer Lawrence, Angelina Jolie, and Margot Robbie looked like a rank apart in their floor-length black gowns that just radiated classic Hollywood style, reported Daily Mail.
Jolie,42 wore a custom Ralph & Russo off-shoulder gown with a velvet shawl over her shoulders which she got rid of as the evening progressed. She wore black pumps to complete the outfit. The mum of six reportedly added some 32.98 carats of diamonds to this outfit - she wore a pair of Graff drop chandelier earrings.
Her hair was neatly pulled back into a clean little bun and taking a leaf out of the old Hollywood style book, she went with the smokey eyes and glossy nude lips combo. Jolie looked gorgeous - the smokey eyes almost looked like a winged liner from the front and her face looked as dewy as ever.
Jennifer Lawrence's ensemble was unsurprisingly chic - she turned heads in a Christian Dior black and cream gown. The neckline of this gown was interesting - with a straight angular cut off the bosom area - it looked like a tube that was held together by two delicate looking cream chiffon scarves all the way around to her back. The 27-year-old paired the look with some rusty red lips and bushy looking brows. She wore a pair of leaf green drop earrings and wore her hair open, but behind her ears, giving us a clear view of her pretty face.
Margot Robbie stunned in a glittering Givenchy gown with a high neckline and sheer detailing. The gown's pleated skirt had silver embroidery and a matching box clutch. Her shoulder-length crop was left free, identical to Jennifer Lawrence's hair. Her earrings were diamond, of course, a stunning cluster with leaf design and a tiny drop at the bottom. Her styling credit goes to stylist Kate Young, who was also behind Rachel Weisz's BAFTA look.
It appears as though natural is making a comeback in the beauty world - Margot Robbie too, chose a very pretty neutral look for the red carpet. A soft matte finish foundation, paired with a mellow gold lid, no eyeliner and bushy brows topped with a pale pink lip.
Salma Hayek was seen with her billionaire businessman hubby François-Henri Pinault and the two were dressed in black as well. She wore a full sleeve deep V-neck gown with crystals piping the bodice. The gown had some floral rose detailing on the belt as well as at the end of each sleeve.
Actresses Kate Mara, Gemma Arterton, Rochelle Humes also donned black sweeping gowns in support of the cause. Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, however, made an appearance with her husband Duke of Cambridge in a dark green empire waistline gown with a black sash as a nod to the Time's Up movement. The expecting mom of two looked radiant and very pregnant in the Jenny Packham gown. She dressed it up with a beautiful emerald encrusted diamond necklace and matching studs.
