Meghan Markle is planning to make a move to the US because she's reportedly unhappy living in Prince William and Kate Middleton's shadow.

According to royal commentator Rob Shuter, the Duchess of Sussex is planning to move Prince Harry and son Archie to the United States to escape the "shadow" of the Cambridges.

Shuter said that Meghan has decided to relocate her family to the United States to "return to her family" and to get out of Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge's shadow, as per Express UK.  The commentator cited royal sources who suggested the Duchess of Sussex is not "happy coming in second place" behind her sister-in-law.

Speaking on his iHeart Radio show, Shuter said: "Meghan Markle is leaving Britain with her prince and baby. Meghan Markle refuses to move to Africa, she wants to come to the USA. Sources tell me within the Royal Family there’s been a lot of talk about Prince Harry and Meghan temporarily moving to Africa but that isn’t going to happen because Meghan is planning to return to America with her baby and her prince."

He continued, "Sources add moving away from William and Kate Middleton is the goal. Meghan knows if she stays in Britain, this will always mean living in their shadow. Meghan is not the type of girl who is happy coming in second place."

It was last suggested in April this year that Meghan and Harry were planning to move to a Commonwealth country in Africa following the birth of their first child.

The report came at a time when Buckingham Palace was seeking ways to "harness Harry and Meghan and this tremendous global attention they get".

However, Shuter's sources claimed Meghan has shelved plans to move to Africa after witnessing the curiosity her New York baby shower sparked among the public.

He said, "After her baby shower in New York, Meghan knows she and Harry could do this, and if they did do this, they would become the unofficial king and queen of America."

Both Meghan and Kate have been constantly dogged by rumors of a feud since the former 'Suits' actress married into the royal family in May 2018.

Ever since speculation about a rift between the two Duchesses began, the two princes of British royalty eventually ended their “double act”, which led to the creation of separate courts to reflect their shifting responsibilities.

This process, which would also involve the division of their shared household staff in the coming weeks, was expected to ease the rising tension between Prince William and Prince Harry.

There have also been reports that Meghan, aka Duchess Difficult, who gave birth to her first child in May, is “dictatorial” towards the staff and the Palace hopes that the split and the lack of close proximity would help the two families co-exist.
