All the Marvel superheroes we would love to see in MCU's Phase 4, including X-Men, Ms. Marvel, Iron Heart and Stature

With the Infinity Saga set to end with 'Spider-Man: Far from Home', here's a look at all the new superheroes and crossovers that we would love to see in the fourth phase of the MCU

Spoiler alert for 'Avengers: Endgame'

While the hype of 'Avengers: Endgame' is finally dying down, the new topic of discussion is who will be the new superheroes that Marvel will introduce in the upcoming phase? Much of the favorites have already made an entrance and some of them have also made an exit from the Universe already.  Here's a list of all the superheroes that Marvel could introduce over the course of phase 4.

Ms. Marvel

Ms. Marvel too might make it to the MCU in the fourth phase. (Marvel)

Carol Danvers was originally Ms. Marvel but goes on to become Captain Marvel (That is how she made her debut in the movie). According to the comics, a Pakistani-American Muslim, Kamala Khan, was touted to take over the Ms. Marvel mantle.  Talking to BBC, Marvel Studios Kevin Feige too said that there were plans for that once Captain Marvel was introduced to the world.

X-Men

Professor Charles and his troop of mutants have been long fighting Magneto and hopefully, we will see an Avengers—X-Men crossover in the fourth phase. With Disney's acquisition of Fox, we can look at a few prominent characters making an entry in phase 4.  While 'Logan' gave Wolverine a fitting end, it would still seem fair to hope that MCU introduces Wolverine as one of the superheroes, even if it isn't Hugh Jackman reprising the role. Currently, the only two characters who were experimented upon and went on to join the Avengers were Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) and Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff).

Wolverine

Wolverine was seen as a central character during his missions with the Avengers (Marvel)

Going back to the comics, Wolverine was already part of the Avengers in stories such as Siege, Age of Ultron and Civil War. According to the comic storyline, Wolverine was paid a bomb to join the earth's mightiest heroes and over the course of their battles, he was shown to be as important to the team as Cap or Iron Man.

Whether he makes an appearance with the new Avengers or if he gets a standalone film (very unlikely), it would still be a great move to bring Wolverine in as one of the superheroes in phase 4.

The Eternals

With the movie most likely looking at a 2020 release after Disney released a schedule for eight untitled films, 'The Eternals', much like the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' could have their own history before coming into the Avengers fold. 'The Eternals' was a comic created by Jack Kirby in 1976 which is set millions of years in the past, where cosmic beings known as The Celestials experimented on humans to create individuals with superpowers, known as The Eternals, to battle against their foes, The Deviants. The two groups battled each other throughout history. The Eternals also warred with Greek, Roman and Norse deities before leaving Earth to explore the stars.

Shang-Chi

Another movie in the works and maybe one of the 2021 releases. 'Shang-Chi' is rated as one of the greatest heroes in comics primarily due to his martial arts abilities. Known as the best in the world in hand-to-hand combat, Chi was also seen assisting the Avengers in some of their greatest battles. But with the character mostly working alone, it remains to be seen if Marvel Studios add him as one of the Avengers at some stage.

Stature

Stature was inspired by Ant-Man's heroics. (Marvel)

Ant-Man's daughter, Cassie Lang was looked at as one of the superheroes who always wanted to follow her father's footsteps and become a superhero. While it is very difficult to imagine that she would have her own standalone film, the character may have an arc in the movies since 'Ant-Man' is still alive and kicking at the end of 'Avengers: Endgame' and may make a couple of more appearances in the fourth phase.

Iron Heart

Riri and Peter were shown as Stark's mentees in comics. (Marvel)

Riri Williams, one of the imaginary characters in the comics, is a 15-year-old MIT student and tech genius who built her own Iron Man-like suit in her dorm out of parts discarded by Stark Industries and garners Stark's attention. Just like Peter Parker, she too is mentored by Iron Man and goes on to become a superhero. But with no Riri references in the MCU so far, it may look like Morgan Stark may have a role to play and might just end up becoming Iron Heart. Controversial, but not impossible.

Post 'Endgame', the remaining superheroes are Captain Marvel, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain America, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Spider-Man, and Hulk. But with an official list of characters yet to be announced, it remains to be seen if any of the above heroes get a chance to be a part of the MCU going forward.
