Kim Kardashian's probably been on every big magazine cover that you can think of but this time it has backfired. Most recently, she was on the cover for Vogue India, sizzling in a black satin slip dress, with a plunging neckline (naturally) and a thigh-high slit (not surprising). Her blonde lob sat perfectly in tousled beach babe waves and her makeup palette was kept neutral by her ever favorite celeb MUA Mario.
However, there appears to be nothing scandalous about the cover photo or the one inside, where Kim looks stunning, donning Indian designer Anita Dongre's lehenga - a traditional style Indian skirt.
As soon as the photos were up on Twitter, fans were quick to express disappointment. Some of them felt that Kim K did not deserve to be on the cover.
They felt that it was just a stupid choice - especially when there were successful American women who also had an Indian connection. Some of them were just mad that Kim gets all the spotlight - like she wasn't getting it enough already. There were, however, fans who defended the cover - saying that it was okay to feature her and it did not make them value brown women any less.
The last time someone from the Kardashian Jenner clan was featured in the magazine - things did not go down well either. Kendall Jenner, posed for the magazine in May last year and faced similar criticism.
It was Vogue India's 10th-anniversary edition, shot by the famous Mario Testino.
Called 'Indian Affair', the cover and her poses were criticized (which gave birth to some funny memes) the fact that she was featured, instead of the very successful Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone, both of who have Hollywood success as well as Indian roots, did not go down well.
