The Bachelor Winter Games star Clare Crawley gets engaged to Benoit Beausejour-Savard

Clare Crawley is now an engaged woman. Though The Bachelor Winter Games viewers saw Clare choose to leave on her own after failing to find a connection on the show, the 36-year-old hairdresser found love off-camera with one of her cast members.

They were back on the show, when the TV show star got engaged to Benoit Beausejour-Savard during the February 22 episode of The Bachelor Winter Games: World Tells All.

“It’s overwhelming, it’s crazy,” Crawley told People magazine of the surprise engagement.

“Going on these Bachelor shows is a huge risk and you don’t know the outcome. It’s scary, but it’s a risk that you have to take to get the good in the end.”

“I didn't expect this,” Beauséjour-Savard adds. “I was heartbroken on The Bachelorette: Canada but going back on this show I had an open mind. I was realistic that there might not be someone for me. But like you’ve seen on TV, I had the biggest crush ever on her. [But then] it wasn’t a crush, it was developing into something really deep and strong.”

During their time in the house, Clare and Benoit hit it off early and kissed during the premiere.

However, when the Canadian Bachelorette star revealed that he felt very strongly for her, she followed her heart and told him she didn’t feel the same way in tears, and he went home.

But now, contestant Chris Harrison revealed that Clare actually found love after the show.

“The second I got back to Sacramento, I checked my phone, and I had a message from a guy,” she says, beginning to get choked up. “Timing was so off but it was so perfect for me because it was a man that just cared about if I was OK.”

“You’re the strongest woman I’ve ever met in my entire life,” Beausejour-Savard said to her before getting down on one knee. He also said that he felt someone was looking down from above and would approve, referencing Clare's father.

Clare first appeared in the Bachelor franchise on Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor in 2014. She finished as the runner-up, then headed to Bachelor in Paradise, where she was eliminated after three weeks. Clare vowed never to return to the franchise again after her failed attempt on BIP but made an exception for the Inaugural Winter Games, and it certainly paid off!

Benoit was on season one of The Bachelorette in Canada.
