Since a long time now, royalists have been busy speculating about who will be invited to the big, royal event at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. But now, according to reports, two of Prince Harry's former girlfriends are expected to grace the occasion.
The royal, who will marry Meghan Markle on May 19, has added Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy to the exclusive wedding guest list. A close friend of Prince Harry told the Daily Mail: "Harry has stayed good friends with Chelsy and Cressida, so they will be there. He made sure there were no hard feelings when they split up. I don't think Meghan will mind."
Harry dated Davy, 32, for seven years, while his relationship with Bonas, 29, lasted for two years. On the other hand, while Harry’s former flames have received the nod of royal approval to attend the wedding, it looks like Meghan’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson won’t be so lucky.
Engleson is reportedly not attending the wedding since he is all set to make a new TV show about an American divorcee who marries into the British Royal Family. Trevor and Meghan’s marriage lasted for a mere two years, and after the first year, the actor was offered the role as Rachel Zane on Suits. They cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their divorce.
Prince Harry's relationship with Zimbabwean-born Chelsy began when she was a teenager at boarding school in England. Harry then waited a year before hooking up with model and actor Cressida. They were first introduced by Princess Eugenie and subsequently dated for two years.
Princess Eugenie is also set to get married in autumn, and Cressida is expected to be on the guest list, with the two remaining close friends even after the actress' separation from the prince.
Kensington Palace confirmed they would not be commenting on the claims.
