In her recent interview, Francia Raisa opened up her life after a kidney transplant.

Francia Raisa might have come as an angel in disguise for Selena Gomez and even though the transplant was successful for the two, the Beyond Paradise actress believes that it was not always easy for her to come to terms with life after that. In an interview with Harry Connick Jr., Francia spoke in detail about how she dealt with this sudden change in her lifestyle.

The actress admitted it wasn't always easy. “Yeah, it’s harder as the donor because we are losing something our body didn’t need to lose, so trying to recover from that, and she’s gaining something her body needed,” she said. She also expressed how she can relate to others who undergo C-section.

“So she’s up and at it immediately, and I had a hard time," she said. "I basically have four scars. It was laparoscopic — those mothers out there who had C-sections, I feel you." Francia applauded all the mothers for being able to carry on with their day to day activities just a couple of days after the surgery.

"I don’t know how you take care of a child afterward. It is crazy! I couldn’t get up without having someone help me. That was very humbling," she said. The actress went on to say that her road to recovery was one which involved not being able to move for months.

“I couldn’t take a shower by myself, I had to have someone help me because I couldn’t move,” Francia added. “I’m a very very active person, so the fact that my doctor said I couldn’t move for two months. Two months, I couldn’t do anything active."

"All I could do was walk. That was very hard for me and I have a dog and every day the thing I look forward to is drinking my coffee and walking and I couldn’t do that. It was really really hard.” However, since then Francia has able to get a better grip on her life and has managed to get equipped with a new lifestyle.
