“Lisa really thinks she could have helped to save him. She’s been upset watching on from afar and thinks she might be able to get him through the situation," the source told the tabloid.

After Ant made the announcement that he would be heading to rehab to get his act under control, Lisa was spotted for the first time with pal Demi Demetriou in South East London.

Back when the two were together, Lisa had helped Ant after he was sent to rehab for prescription drug addiction. However, those who are close to Ant have a different story to tell. According to them, Ant's recent incident with drink and drive was due to the strain of his divorce.

A source close to the actor told Mirror that Ant was not taking the idea of divorce too well.

"It seems to be the realization that everything he had with Lisa has slipped from his grasp and with the divorce coming up it seems so final for him. It is hitting him hard again," the source revealed.

“Its been a very tough time with the breakdown of his marriage."

The source said that ever since their divorce, Ant is finding it hard to deal with things.

"Things haven’t been easy whatsoever. He was tremendously sad he couldn’t rescue the situation and things have escalated.”

Ant was arrested by the police for losing control of his Mini in Richmond, south London. In the process, two vehicles were damaged and a three-year-old girl was injured.

Since the incident took place, Ant has canceled his future projects. Recently, it was revealed that Declan Donnelly would be hosting 'Saturday Night Takeaway' without him.

In a social media post, Dec confirmed the news writing: "Whilst I never thought I’d be in this position, after much discussion and careful consideration we’ve decided that the remaining two shows of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead. We made a promise to take hundreds of deserving winners to Florida to watch the series finale, and we will honor that. Everyone at ITV and the Takeaway team feels we owe it to the audience to complete the series. Dec x."
