UPDATED JUL 26, 2019

Can't wait to see the zombie apocalypse survivors back on the small screen? Well, don't worry. AMC confirmed at the San Diego Comic-Con International on July 19 that 'The Walking Dead' spin-off will be returning next year for season six – and apparently there are some big changes ahead.  At the event, showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg kept major details under the wraps. Talking about season six, Chambliss said: "Without giving something away, the world is going to expand in a big way and by the time we get to the end of the season, it is really going to shake the entire group to the very core and really change the show in a way that will launch us into season six, in a really big way."

But before that you have the second half of season 5 to go through where we will get to see the world expand as the makers have put it. At SDCC 2019, it was revealed that in season 5B, the mission will be clear-locating the survivors and making the world a better place.
