The first reactions for Thor: Ragnarok have come in and it looks like the good folks down at Marvel Studios have got another big winner on their hands! "Visually stunning," "badass" and "funniest Marvel movie" are just some of the terms critics are using to describe the upcoming superhero flick.
The studio signed on Taika Waititi, an acclaimed director known for offbeat films like Hunt for the Wilderpeople and What We Do in the Shadows, to direct Thor 3. Early trailers proved that Marvel did the right thing as Waititi's brand of humour, combined with Hemsworth's hilarious wit, really worked wonders.
And now, early reactions to Thor: Ragnarok, which started pouring in via social media on Monday, are extremely praiseworthy. Critics have highlighted the humor of the film while some have called out Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk as scene-stealers.
Thor: Ragnarok brings back Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston alongside Tessa Thompson‘s Valkyrie and Mark Ruffalo‘s Hulk as the God of Thunder and his ragtag group try to stop Cate Blanchett’s Hela, Goddess of Death, from bringing the apocalyptic Ragnarok down on Asgard. Ragnarok also stars Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo, and Anthony Hopkins and arrives in theaters on November 3.
