Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher can't tell his kids not to do drugs... here's why

Liam Gallagher's blasé attitude, his exceptional singing voice, and his bizarre antics easily make him one of the most recognized faces in the music industry. In most interviews, the Oasis frontman cusses swears and remains shockingly honest. And even after all these years, little has changed in Liam's life. He's still doing drugs at 45 and drops the F word in every other sentence.

In a recent interview, the singer revealed his parenting style. Unlike parents who are strict disciplinarians with their kids, Liam's approach to parenting is defined by self-reflection. He said he doesn't have a "leg to stand on" when it comes to stopping his kids from doing drugs. And it isn't just in this area where he finds him limbs impotent.

The Wonderwall singer can't stop his kids from participating in experiences that are perhaps damaging in some ways. He told Junkee, "So when they come and do drugs I can't say, 'don't do drugs.' With girls and kids and women and ******* divorces and all that ****, and getting into scraps and not speaking to your brother, when I turn around to my two boys I go 'youse two, stop arguing and get on with each other' they turn around and go 'oh **** off, look how you speak to your brother."

Liam and his brother Noel churned out some of the best hits in the 90s but the brothers turned on each other while they were still part of Oasis. From backstage brawls to fighting on the road and pulling out of concerts, the brothers have witnessed the worst in each other. Liam and Noel cut off ties with each other in 2016 after feuding for more than 10 years.

For years, fans of the band hoped a reunion would take place between them but that doesn't seem likely. Liam and Noel won't share a stage again. This was evident when Liam said in Supersonic that his brother won't be part of Oasis even if there's a reunion.

"Oh no, he won’t be here. He’s in one of his really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really big houses. Probably eatin’ tofu while havin’ a fuckin’ face peel, isn’t that right, man of the people?" Liam said.

A few years later, he believes that his very public fights with brother Noel don't allow him to be a grown-up parent to his kids. If nothing, the singer's honesty is refreshing to hear but he's not willing to stop consuming drugs.

According to Daily Mail, the singer is planning to go hard on a drug-fuelled binge after he retires from singing, which keeps his life disciplined right now. Just last year, however, the Manchester native said his drug addictions wrecked his family life.

He told Daily Star, "I've made some howlers in my personal life, I've had a couple of marriages and hurt my kids and that. So personally, my advice would be don't take too many drugs and don't drink too much alcohol. You should stop that because that gets you in situations."
