Congratulations are in order for actress Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren, who ushered in the New Year with the arrival of their third child - and first son.
In the picture she posted online, you can see the tiny newborn sleeping peacefully while swaddled in a hospital blanket. With a head full of dark hair, it's clear that he takes after both of his parents.
"Hayes Alba Warren 12/31/17 Best gift to ring in the New Year!!" the Fantastic Four actress and proud mother posted on Instagram Monday, along with a photo of the newborn.
"Cash and I feel so blessed. Haven and Honor are already obsessed with their new baby bro," she added, along with the hashtag, "#familyof5."
Warren took to Instagram as well, captioning a photo of him holding his son, "Hayes Alba Warren: You sure know how to ring in the new year! You showed up a few days early but we couldn’t be any happier."
"Your Mamma is the strongest woman I know … you’re so lucky to have her by your side," he continued. "You have two amazing sisters who already adore you and I know you’ll be thankful to have them guide the way."
On Christmas Day, Alba celebrated their last holiday as a family of four by sharing their holiday card, which featured the clan in matching red onesies. "Feeling so blessed and can’t wait to meet our baby boy," she captioned the pic. "Thankful for our beautiful family that celebrated with us today - our smallest family gathering we’ve had in our 14 years together but it was perfect..."
Alba, 36, and Cash, 38, got married in 2008. That same year they welcomed their eldest, daughter Honor. Their other little girl, Haven, is six.
The entire family seems quite obsessed with the new member in the house, and Warren, once again, took to Instagram to show his love and awe for his son. "So hard to believe we all started out this small", wrote the new father.
The Honest Company founder first announced that she was expecting in July when she posted a sweet video of her daughters holding up numbered balloons.
In the playful Boomerang, Alba cradled her growing baby bump and held a balloon with the numbered 3 alongside daughters Honor, 9, and Haven, 6.
She later revealed the sex of her baby in a similar fashion by opening a box filled with blue balloons and confetti.
Ever since she shared the happy news with her fans and followers, the Sin City actress has not been shy about showing off her pregnancy curves.
other than flaunting her growing belly during the annual Baby2Baby Gala with her husband in November, Jessica also had a star-studded baby shower last month to celebrate the arrival of her little one.
As for his name, she explained to Jimmy Fallon, "It has to be a single or double syllable, has to be an 'H,' and it also has to be a word. And it can't be too weird, because, you know… like, a little unusual, but you know, what if they want to be a nurse?" Thus, little Hayes.
The Baby, Baby, Baby actress opened up to Us Weekly in November 2016 about prioritizing time with her daughters — even when she’s traveling for work.
"I go on so many business trips, and they’re usually two or three days. I'll bring just one at a time and it'll be like, 'Mom's gonna bring you on a special trip'," she told Us Weekly. "We'll get to have a sleepover, we'll get to order room service, we'll get to rent a movie. It’s really fun!"
In November, Alba shared that her daughter, Haven, was especially excited to have a baby brother.
"My six-year-old, she was worried about being a middle child, but she gets to be a big sister and a little sister," she explained during an appearance on The Rachael Ray Show. "So, she's stoked about that - and she doesn’t have to compete with another girl."
Alba went on to admit that she was also especially excited for a boy. "For me, the girls love their dad. I wanted someone to love me more," she said with a laugh. "When he comes home, they’re like, 'Daddy!' It's like a party. When I come home, they’re like, 'Oh, hey Mom.' I'm like, 'I do everything for you! I cook, I do all the things!'"
Alba and Warren, who met on set of 2005’s Fantastic Four, dated for three years before tying the knot in 2008.
Congratulations to the family!
