After several claims about sexual assault by some of Hollywood's biggest people came to light, another name was added and this time it was Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen. Sheen was recently accused of raping now-deceased Corey Haim in 1986 when Haim was just 13. Sheen and Haim were filming Lucus at that time. However, Haim's mother Judy has called BS on the rape allegation.
In an interview with Dr. Oz, Judy absolutely denied the claim. She said the allegations against Sheen were false. Judy said Haim had been like an open book and if there had been an incident similar to the one Haim's friend Dominick Brascia related to the National Enquirer, she believes she would have definitely known about it.
She told Oz that she did not believe that Sheen had been the man who had molested or raped Haim on the movie set in 1986. She said, "I would have known if anything was wrong."
Judy thinks that she would have been the first person that Haim would have approached in order to discuss the matter, or she would have come to realize about it because of her maternal instincts. "My kid hid nothing, he was like... transparent. He never hid anything, it's out of character, that's number one," she said.
She later said that at the age of 13, her son would not go to Sheen and ask him to sleep with him. However, during the same interview, Judy does name the person who she claims had been the person who had molested Haim.
In the short clip that was shared by Oz, the word is beeped and it is not clear if the name will be revealed when the interview is aired. In the clip, one can hear Judy say, "I have to tell you, that this guy *beep* is the guy that abused my son."
Judy decided to break her silence after Brascia said that Sheen had raped Haim while the two were filming Lucus. The statement was made by the actor when The National ENQUIRER did an investigation regarding the same.
Brascia told the magazine that Corey had told him that he had sex with Sheen when they filmed Lucus. "He told me they smoked pot and had sex. He said they had anal sex. Haim said after it happened Sheen became very cold and rejected him. When Corey wanted to fool around again, Charlie was not interested," he revealed.
According to the reports, Haim was scared to reveal the name of his assaulter because the person had been in a powerful position and the young actor feared that it could possibly be the end of his career. Along with Brascia, several other sources also came forward supporting the claims made by the actor.
The magazine states that another insider confirmed that Sheen had raped Haim: "Corey was so confused by the sexual encounter he believed, like so many victims, he was ‘in love’ with his abuser,” the insider allegedly said. The reality, however, was that Sheen bullied the young actor into a vulnerable position for sex, the insider told the magazine.
The magazine also claims that along with Haim, there were others who had been assaulted by Sheen. One of the women on the set claims she was just 17 when Sheen inappropriately kissed her and solicited sex from her in a bathroom.
"I was in a bathroom with him at one point. He tried to get me to have sex." She also claimed that Sheen had become increasingly "sloppy and wasted" as the evening progressed," she said. Meanwhile, Haim's closest friend Corey Feldman had mentioned this in his 2013 tell-all memoir, Coreyography: A Memoir of the alleged incident.
At some point during the filming [of Lucas, Haim] explained an adult male convinced him it was perfectly normal for older men and younger boys in the business to have sexual relations, that it was ‘what all guys do'," Feldman wrote in the book.
"So they walked off to a secluded area between two trailers during a lunch break for the cast and crew, and Haim, innocent and ambitious as he was, allowed himself to be sodomized,” he continued. Even though Feldman hasn't mentioned Sheen's name in it, it is no surprise that the actor is not fond of him.
In 2011, when Feldman was asked about Sheen he said, "I'm not a huge fan of Charlie Sheen…especially the way he's affected other people that I know." However, he did have kind words for his late friend who died at a young age of 38.
He said that he felt Haim "fought for his entire life to recover from those early experiences and to get his life together". However, a rep for Charlie told the Hollywood Reporter that "Charlie Sheen categorically denies these allegations."
