California woman reported as missing is found on the latest season of 'The Bachelor'!

After thinking she was missing for months, one family in California found their daughter in the most unusual of places - on the hit reality dating show The Bachelor.

The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office received a missing person report on November 18, 2017, for 22-year-old Rebekah Martinez of Fresno, California.

Martinez's mom told deputies that she had last talked to her daughter on November 12.

The Sheriff's Office said they attempted to contact Martinez, but she did not respond.

The deputy investigating the case followed up on leads and procedures before forwarding the case to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division.

About a month later, deputies with the department followed up with Martinez's mother to ask if she'd been in contact with her daughter.

She responded and told the deputy she had heard from Martinez a few days after the initial report was filed.

The deputy told the mother to have Martinez contact him directly so that he could confirm her well-being, but since she was busy filming The Bachelor, she was unable to do that and hence was not removed from the California missing persons list.

She is the youngest woman to join the show this season. (Source: Twitter)

The main issue came in the spotlight when North Coast Journal on Thursday ran an article about Humboldt County having the highest rate of missing persons in California.

One netizen named Anne Bonner O' Brien noticed Martinez and pointed out she was a part of the dating show.

"I was just scrolling through the 35 missing people and I recognized some of them from news stories," O'Brien said. "When I got to her, I was like 'Wait a minute, she looks so familiar.' and I instantly thought of 'The Bachelor.'"

The newspaper contacted the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, which spoke with Martinez and promptly removed her from the missing person’s list.

On Friday, Martinez made light of the reports, tweeting “MOM. how many times do I have to tell you I don’t get cell service on The Bachelor??”

She then posted another joke by saying her "efforts to conceal The Worst [Driver's] License Photo Of All Time [has] been thwarted."

Martinez is the youngest to join The Bachelor in its 22-season run and is currently one of the ladies vying for the heart of 36-year-old real estate agent Arie Luyendyk Jr. Their 14-year age gap has sparked a lot of criticism from some of the show's viewers.
