Many exes manage to keep an open line of communication between them, but that doesn't seem to be the case when it comes to country musicians Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton.
It is being said that Shelton had no idea that his ex-wife was getting hitched to NYPD officer Brandon McLoughlin, and that he found out just the same way as others did.
'The Voice' judge was not given any prior notice about his 35-year-old ex-wife's nuptials to the 27-year-old, as per Us Weekly. “Blake found about the wedding at the same time everyone else did,” an insider spilled to the media outlet.
“Blake was not given a heads-up and doesn’t know her new husband,” the insider revealed further. “Since they split they have had almost zero contact.” The country superstar revealed the news on Saturday that she had tied the knot with her sweetheart McLoughlin in a secret ceremony.
“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched!” the 'Little Red Wagon' singer posted with a couple pictures from her wedding day.
The 'Tin Man' singer's wedding photos showed her dressed in a white lace gown with her New York Police Department groom, who wore a black suit, white shirt, and no tie.
She added to the Instagram post caption: “My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for…. Me.” She concluded with the hashtag "#theone". Before the news of her wedding came along, Lambert was last linked to musician Evan Felker in August 2018, who she broke up with after a four-month-long relationship.
The 'Heart Like Mine' singer was also linked to R&B musician Anderson East, who she broke up with after two years of dating. On the other hand, McLoughlin welcomed a child with ex Kaihla Rettinger in November 2018.
Lambert was married to Shelton for four years, from 2011-2015, even though the couple did start seeing each other back in 2006.
"This is not the future we envisioned and it is with a heavy heart that we move forward separately," read the joint statement released by the couple while announcing their divorce.
The statement continued, "We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends, and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
Shortly after his divorce with Lambert, Shelton moved on to date his co-host on 'The Voice', 'No Doubt' singer Gwen Stefani, and the couple has been inseparable ever since.
