Britney Spears' mother wants to be officially notified regarding singer's conservatorship

According to a request filed on Monday, Britney Spears' mother, Lynne Spears is asking to receive notice of all matters related to her daughter’s conservatorship as reported by People.

Britney's recent mental health breakdown has brought on this intervention.  At the beginning of the year, there were reports that she would be taking an "indefinite" break from her work owing to her father Jamie Spears' illness. She had informed fans that she would be canceling her 'Domination' residency tour as well since she wanted to put family first. Then in April, news of her checking into a mental health facility overnight surfaced. "We all need to take time for a little ‘me time," the singer told her fans on Instagram a couple of hours before the news broke that she had indeed decided to seek help with her situation.

Lynne is seeking to be notified of the developments since Britney's father is currently recovering from a colon rupture that happened last fall.  In 2008, a Los Angeles court had named Britney’s father, her permanent conservator. He was also appointed permanent co-conservator of her estate with attorney Andrew Wallet. Wallet resigned his role in March, according to documents obtained by The Blast.

It has been reported that contrary to reports of a tussle between them, Britney's parents have discussed Lynne's recent decision to take a more proactive role in her daughter' conservatorship. Rather than receiving information and updates on Britney through Jamie, Lynne seeks to receive details directly from the court. Lynne has not made an attempt to be named as a co-conservator alongside her former husband.

A conservatorship status hearing is scheduled for this Friday, May 10.

On April 25, Britney, 37, checked out of the “all-encompassing wellness facility” where she was being treated. Prior to checking out of the facility, Britney also went on to assure her fans that she was doing okay after there were reports of her being held there against her will. The #FreeBritney movement was launched by fans as a result of these worrying reports.

“My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I just needed time to deal,” she added. “Don’t worry I’ll be back very soon.”

The “Piece of Me” singer went into further detail about her situation in the caption writing, “I wanted to say hi because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!!”   “Wow!!! There’s rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things — crazy things being said. I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that’s happening is just making it harder for me,” she continued. “Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way,” she wrote. “If you could do that, I would be forever grateful. Love you ❤️❤️❤️.”
