'Big Little Lies' stars Cameron, Nicholas Crovetti talk about playing with Nicole Kidman's daughters and having a sleepover at Meryl Streep's house

'Big Little Lies' stars Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti tell MEAWW that they did not know how famous Nicole Kidman or Meryl Streep was until they began working with the actors.
UPDATED MAY 23, 2019

Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti, the siblings who play the role of Josh and Max Wright, sons of Celeste (Nicole Kidman) on 'Big Little Lies', recently spoke to MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) about their experience of working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood at such a young age and what it was like to work with Kidman and Meryl Streep on the show. From playtime with Kidman's daughters to shooting sleepover scenes with Streep for the upcoming season, the two child actors had a lot of fun.

"At first, we had no idea who we were working with. I mean, we saw Nicole Kidman in Paddington, and we were like 'Oh my god, she was in that" when Nicholas chimed in "And she was the bad person in that".  Cameron continued, "And then we watched a lot of other movies. For the second season, when we were working with Meryl, we watched 'Devil Wears Prada' and then we watched 'Death Becomes Her' and then we went on set and told her we watched it and she said, 'Ah, that's a silly movie'. The siblings also said that it was 'super fun' shooting for the series with Kidman and added that the actor would invite them over to play with her two daughters all the time.

Speaking of what to expect in the show and how things will change after the death of their characters' father Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgård), Cameron said that they did grow up in the show and are now sad about the demise of their father while Nicholas added that they still got to do things that kids often do at their age. He explained, "They are still young and naive. We are still totally kids in the second season. There was this one time we went over to Meryl's house and we watched TV and slept over and it was a fun scene."

'Big Little Lies' season 2 will premiere on HBO on June 9.
