The Demented Brothers brought some much-needed joy to America's Got Talent audience with an unexpected comedy act masquerading as a magician act. The French duo is already experienced with the big stage as they have competed on France Got Talent. However, their act garnered mixed reactions from the judges as well as the audience.

"The comedy magicians where hysterical," tweeted one user. Others jumped in on the joke, tweeting, "Omg how did that red handkerchief get into that guys pocket!? Amazing #AGT" as well as, "That was by far the best magic I've never seen #AmericasGotTalent." One viewer shared, "That was ridiculous.... but my kids LOVED the magicians!"

Not many were fans of the act. "That wasn’t magic on #AGT. That was “let me keep the napkin in my hand and wave it around to make it look like magic”," tweeted one viewer. Another said, "Putting those “magicians” through proves what I’ve said all along: #AGT is a joke. The show hasn’t been watchable in a very long time," one stated, "I thought it was supposed to be America's got talent but when you have no talent how do you move on? #AGT," and one tweeted, "The audience making the judges decisions now #AmericasGotTalent #AGT."

While Simon Cowell gave the act a no, stating he was lost and didn't understand what happened, the other three judges, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum seemed to have understood the joke and gave it their approval. But it appears Simon's confusion is universal.

"The act is a bit weird with the 2 magicians. #AGT," tweeted one viewer, "There's the non talent winners of the evening...#AGT #beenwaiting," stated another, "They just let somebody by with no comedian talent no magician talent none of it and another person who has talent could have got that spot and you just took that away from them by letting these two stupid dipsh*ts on the show #AGT," declared another.

And soon, the audience at home was divided.

"Was I supposed to be impressed by those magicians? #AGT," asked one user, to which one responded, "They weren't magicians... it's called comedy" and another said, "Exactly MY POINT. Some people just needs to get a grasp of comedy."

"What was everyone but Simon watching?" asked another viewer, adding, "That was the worst magic act I’ve ever seen. #AGT" with another stating, "It wasn't even magic. Surely they all realize that the red rag never left his hand. That was dumb. #AGT." One user responded, "It was a comedy act bruh."

"I’m with @SimonCowell," stated one viewer, adding, "did I miss something?? Was that even real magic or them just throwing scarves around?!? #AGT like they clearly just had multiple red scarves in their hand and pocket and pulled it out." Another responded, "This performance wasnt meant to be serious, it was meant to make others laugh, I think they deserved to go thru. It made me laugh and others laugh."

Another confused viewer tweeted, "Terry literally said “how did they do that” and they literally just waved their arms around the whole time. I just don’t understand how they got sent through #AGT," to which one responded, "The whole point of their performance was to make the audience laugh. They’re magicians with humour. I think they deserved to go thru because yeah it was FuNny."
