'American Idol' Season 18: Unseen footage of Olivia Ximines singing Adele's 'All I Ask' will give you goosebumps

Olivia sang her rendition of Adele's 'All I Ask' and for a 16-year-old she proved she has powerful vocals

'American Idol' Season 18 returned on Sunday night for an all-new episode. Usually, while the contestants are neck-deep into the competition by this time, the series has come to a halt because of the current pandemic, as the live shows have been postponed until they find a way to finish the season remotely. 

Returning tonight, for Episode 11 'This Is Me' Part 1, 'American Idol' Season 18 aired unseen footage of the Top 20 contestants during their auditions and Hollywood week. Part 2 will air next week when the series returns.

While it is sad that we don't get to see the contestants battle it out against each other, we do get to see some really impeccable performances that we didn't get to see earlier when the competition aired. One such performance was by 16-year-old Olivia Ximines whose vocal cords pack a punch. 

We do know that Olivia made it through Hollywood week and is now one amongst the Top 40 contestants, but we didn't get to see her performance during the genre challenge when the episode aired. The genre challenge was introduced this season and the contestants got to perform a song in their selected genre. 

For her performance, Olivia sang her rendition of Adele's 'All I Ask' and for a 16-year-old she proved she has powerful vocals as she blew the roof of the stage. Her raw talent makes her one amongst the front runners this season.

The judges were so impressed with her performance, it didn't take long before you could see it on their faces. After her performance, Lionel Richie shared, "She showed up at 16. I like that." 

"She challenged herself and she rose to the occasion," shared Katy Perry. Olivia's performance left us all with goosebumps and fans on Twitter couldn't agree more. 

"She definitely has the "star power"look.. good luck," a fan wrote. Adding to that another fan shared, "I wasnt even paying attention to the tv and I dont care much for singing shows. But Olivia started singing and took all my attention. Gave me goosebumps too! Girl can SING! #AmericanIdol." 

"Olivia Ximines gives me goosebumps every time I hear her sing on tv. #AmericanIdol," a fan said while another added, "Olivia's voice is incredible #AmericanIdol." 

"Olivia don't make no sense for 16! #sang #AmericanIdol," a fan wrote.
