'American Idol' season 17: Of Alejandro Aranda, Laine Hardy and Madison Vandenburg, who will win the title?

During Sunday night's performance, each contestant performed three songs, a selection from Elton John's songs, a song selected by season mentor Bobby Bones, and a tribute song related to Mother's Day

The Top 5 contestants have now become the Top 3 finalists following Sunday night's episode of 'American Idol' season 17.

During Sunday night's performance, each contestant performed three songs, a selection from Elton John's songs, a song selected by season mentor Bobby Bones, and a tribute song related to Mother's Day.

After the contestants — Alejandro Aranda, Laci Kaye Booth, Wade Cota, Laine Hardy, and Madison Vandenburg — were done performing, the results were tallied and the two contestants with the lowest votes were sent home. Sadly, the two contestants were Booth and Cota.

Though Booth was saved by the judges last week, she received a low number of votes and was eliminated this week.

Currently, it is anyone's guess as to who will be the winner since each contestant has a unique voice. With just a week left for the grand finale, here are your Top 3 finalists.

'American Idol': Ryan Seacrest, Alejandro Aranda, Madison Vandenburg, Laine Hardy (ABC/Eric McCandless)

Alejandro Aranda

Right from his audition to him making it to the Top 5, Aranda has been leaving the judges spellbound with his performance. On Sunday night, during his performance of Elton John's 'Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word', Katy Perry broke down because it was so emotional. Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie also praised Aranda on his performance. “You are taking us on a journey,” Richie said.

For his final performance of the night, Aranda sang an original song called 'Blesser'. His performance was powerful and one of his best this season. We cannot wait to see what he brings to the table during the finale.

Madison Vandenburg

Madison Vandenburg has had her highs and lows during the competition. She is also the only girl in the finale. She is known for her soulful voice and vocal range.

For her Elton John pick, Vandenburg performed 'Your Song'. She was praised by Bryan after her performance. She sang 'Make You Feel My Love' by Adele next and dedicated the song to her mother. Bryan called her a powerhouse because she made her vocals seem so effortless.

All three of her performances on Sunday night were powerful. This might have been her best performance yet.

Laine Hardy

Laine Hardy has been a frontrunner alongside Aranda this entire season. There is not a performance that Hardy has disappointed the judges or his fans with. On Sunday night, his confidence showed on stage as he performed 'Hey Jude' as a tribute to his brother. He added a little rock to the slow ballad and aced it. He even showed a different side of his vocals during his performance of Elton John's 'Something About The Way You Look Tonight.' After his performance, Richie said that he had the style and sound of a winner.

This season's finale is going to be anyone's guess.
