Meet the Top 10 finalists of American Idol season 16
After Monday's Live episode of American Idol four more hopefuls were eliminated from the competition; Marcio Donaldson, Mara Justine, Jonny Brenns and Garrett Jacobs. The final 10 have been decided and revealed for season 16. It was a tense situation as the Top 14 was whittled down to 10, with six singers sailing to safety and eight left to perform for the judges’ wildcard pick.
These are the Top 10 contestants of Season 16 American Idol:
#10 Dennis Lorenzo
Unfortunately for Dennis, America's votes did not get him a spot in the safety zone and so he had to resort to defending himself with a beautiful and heartfelt cover of Maxwell's slow jam, This Woman’s Work.
#9 Michelle Sussett
America voted Michelle into the danger zone but she bounced back with an original song 'I’m a Dreamer'. Her original track paid off and worked well in her favor which is why she made it to the Top 10.
#8 Jurnee
Jurnee decided to sing 'Never Enough' which is the same song that she had sung before making it to the Top 24 and absolutely nailed it.
#7 Ada Vox
Ada Vox sang a beautiful cover of the DreamGirls number 'And I am Telling You I’m Not Going'. Drag Queen Ada Vox totally killed it with her powerful performance and had the audience chanting in unison to save her.
#6 Catie Turner
Catie Turner earned her place in the Top 10 finalists of season 16 with her rendition of 'Havana' by Camila Cabello. She looked the part and sang the part even better. Some say that this could be one of her most impressive performances yet.
#5 Michael J. Woodard
Woodard decided to seal his entry into the Top 10 with his cover of the song 'Believe in Yourself' from The Wiz. He looked great and sang very well clearly as he made it easily into the Top 10.
#4 Caleb Lee Hutchinson
Caleb is well liked by the American fans and followers who watch the show. He decided to perform 'Gettin You Home' by Chris Young and was vocally on point with his singing.
#3 Gabby Barrett
Gabby came through with a powerful and crazy take on Miranda Lambert's hit, Little Red Wagon. It looks as though this is exactly what Gabby Barrett should be doing and she definitely has the confidence to go a long way.
#2 Cade Foehner
Foehner slayed his rendition of Gary Clark Jr. blues song 'Bright Lights'. He is possibly one of the most consistent contestants on season 16 and has never failed to deliver yet.
#1 Maddie Poppe
She is also known as Season 16's throwback queen and decided to open the episode with a chilled out and laid-back cover of the classic Bangles hit song, Walk like an Egyptian. Maddie had everyone grooving with her as she rocked the song.
