'American Horror Story: 1984' Episode 7 preview: 'The Lady in White' brings everyone back to Camp Red Wood

With several flashbacks, flashforwards, and a zillion references to previous seasons, the slasher season is escalating towards a big climax with its 7th episode

Contains spoilers for 'American Horror Story: 1984' episode 6

From the looks of what happened in the 100th episode of FX show, it can be safely said that it was nothing but a medium to bring all the characters back to Red Wood Camp. In the previous episode, we witnessed two major happenings - Brooke being resurrected by Rita and the return of Mr Jingles. Since Benjamin's happily ever after was short-lived, he is back to avenge the deaths of his beloved ones. With several flashbacks, flashforwards, and a zillion references to previous seasons, the slasher season is escalating towards a big climax with its 7th episode titled 'The Lady in White'.

For starters, Camp Red Wood itself can be deemed one of the main characters on the show. With so many transitions and action happening on its campus, the location becomes an important character to be decoded for understanding the plot ahead.

Not sure, if one can call it a victim or a survivor, but it most definitely has seen and heard too many things. Red Wood is a witness to several murders on its premises and it is also home to the wandering ghosts of the people that were ruthlessly murdered there. So the place itself becomes a character to decipher the fate of the rest of the "survivors".

Moving on to episode 7, which has a lot of buzz going around it already. The synopsis only revealed that there is a hidden chapter of Camp Red Wood and there will be a hitchhiker who would be helped by the survivors. Now, could this hitchhiker's role mean the return of a prominent character from the previous seasons?

From the preview, we can see that Donna and Brooke are riding back to Camp Red Wood, but they are not traveling alone. Sitting in the back seat is a man  wearing shades! Could it be Johnny Morgan from AHS Asylum? We can only guess. Brooke says that she is not willing to go back to the wretched camp after all the trauma she had to deal there for five years.

Xavier, Montana, Ray, and Chet capture Benjamin and tie him up calling him deranged for daring to step onto the premises of Red Wood. Donna is all tied up and is about to be rammed by a car. Could this be the work of another killer on the run? In the last shot, we see a cloaked person holding a bloody ear in their hand. Could it be a new killer? It looks about right because that's pretty much the last thing we get to see before the preview ends.

'American Horror Story' airs every Wednesday at 10 pm on FX.
