Amber Alert for 14-year-old Idaho girl canceled, two suspects arrested for alleged kidnapping
An Amber Alert for a missing 14-year old Idaho girl was canceled after she was located safe and unharmed by the California Highway Patrol early Friday morning. The two men accused of abducting Nayeli Miciela Ford, 14, were taken into custody in the area of an Interstate 80 rest stop near Truckee. C. Villanueva Galarza, 35, and Sergio J. Anaya Alcantar, 20, were arrested on kidnapping charges and are being held at the Nevada County Jail, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Earlier, the California Highway Patrol had issued an Amber Alert for the teenage girl who was kidnapped from Idaho.
The Amber Alert was issued for Sacramento and surrounding areas for the child who is believed to be in a lot of danger. She was abducted from rural Idaho on Thursday, April 16. The CHP issued the child abduction alert just after 9.30 pm.
The victim, 14-year-old Nayeli Miciela Ford, was taken from her home in Rupert, Idaho, around 8 am on Thursday, April 16, morning. According to authorities, the two men who kidnapped the child could very well be heading to Santa Rosa and maybe driving westbound on Interstate 80 from the southeast Idaho town.
Nayeli has been described as a 5ft 3inches tall weighing around 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police revealed that she is of American Indian or Alaskan descent. The teen was last seen wearing a hot pink tank top with ruffles, a pair of denim shorts and black and white Adidas shoes.
The Amber Alert was issued for Napa, Nevada, Placer, Solano, Sonoma and Yolo counties. The police have urged anyone with information or anyone who has seen the two men and the teen to immediately contact 911.
They believe that the girl was abducted by two men who were last seen driving a 2011 gray Chevrolet Malibu with Idaho license plate 2M77260. Officials have identified the two men as 18-year-old Sergio Anaya Alcantar and 35-year-old Carmelo Villanueva Galarza.
It is reported that Alcantar is about 5-foot-8 and weighs 190 pounds while Galarza is 5-foot-7 weighing 145 pounds.
