Spoilers ahead for season 1 episode 7 of 'Almost Family' titled 'Thankful AF'

In the Thanksgiving special episode of 'Almost Family', we saw the family reunite under one roof, Julia (Brittany Snow) beginning new traditions of her own, and also a little family tiff. Well, when is holiday dinner complete without a good ol' squabble?

Towards the end of the episode, however, the family dinner took a dark turn as it is revealed that the girl that Roxy brought home Hannah (Lizzy DeClement in a guest appearance) is not a Bechley baby but just one of Roxy's mad fans. Leon (Timothy Hutton) is the first to catch Hannah and the ensuing conversation is only hurtful as she calls Roxy 'yesterday's story'.

Upstairs, after Isaac (Mustafa Elzein) follows her, Roxy makes it seem like she really regrets getting Hannah along to the family dinner and admits that she might have overlooked the authenticity of Hannah's story because of false flattery. Isaac is understanding and empathetic of Roxy's situation and explains to her that addiction is a disease that can be overcome.

Roxy excuses herself telling him that she'd like some water, and when he goes to get her some water, she steals prescription papers from his bag. Earlier in the episode, when Roxy and Hannah are sitting at the diner, she notices that she had run out of her drugs, and a new batch would require a doctor's prescription.

At the end of the episode, Roxy is shown filling in the prescription and wrongly signing it for the drugs. Not only is she putting her health and well-being at risk but also jeopardizing Dr Isaac's career and everything he has worked for.

According to the official synopsis of the show, "Julia enquires about her own fertility options and entrusts Dr Isaac to help her explore possibilities. Meanwhile, Edie (Megalyn Echikunwoke) struggles to tell Tim (Mo McRae) the truth and Roxy deals with concerns from her family, old and new, regarding her drug usage". Perhaps there is going to be more than one intervention for Roxy.

'Almost Family' airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on Fox.
