'All Together Now': Meet Auliʻi Cravalho, Justina Machado and rest of the cast of the Netflix teen drama
Netflix's latest teen movie is dropping later this month. Titled 'All Together Now', the film tells a story of finding hope in the darkest of times and follows Amber Appleton, a musically gifted high school student with aspirations, to attend Carnegie Mellon. But dreaming is one thing and making it happen is another. The movie explores just how Amber gets things done in the face of adversity.

Auli'i Cravalho as Amber Appleton
Cravalho is set to play the role of the protagonist who chooses to see the bright side in the face of adversity. When life brings her lemons, her motto is to do better without letting anything come in her way or pull her back. She balances school and long hours at a donut shop to help support herself and her mother. Will she be able to achieve all her dreams? Cravalho rose to fame with her acting debut as the title character in Disney's 2016 animated feature film, 'Moana'. Her association with Disney doesn't end here. Cravalho portrayed Ariel in ABC's 'The Little Mermaid Live!', a live-action concert rendition of 'The Little Mermaid' in 2019. She also played the role of Lilette Suarez in 'Rise' alongside Josh Radnor and Marley Shelton. In April, the actress came out as bisexual, taking to her TikTok to share the news with her fans and followers.
Justina Machado as Becky
Machado plays the role of Becky, Amber's "down-on-her-luck single mom". This is not the first time that the actress is playing a single mother on the screen having played the role to much praise and acclaim in Netflix and Pop TV's 'One Day at a Time'. The actress is also known for her roles as Darci Factor in 'Jane the Virgin', Vanessa Diaz in 'Six Feet Under' and Brenda on 'Queen of the South'. She is also known for her work in 'The Accidental Husband', 'The Purge: Anarchy' and 'In the Electric Mist'.
Fred Armisen as Mr Franks
Armisen is set to play the role of Mr Franks who handles the high school drama club. Apart from his memorable performances on 'Saturday Night Live', the actor and comedian is best known for co-creating and co-starring in 'Portlandia' for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series consecutively in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2014. Accolades for 'Portlandia' do not stop here alone. He was awarded a Peabody in 2011. The actor is in a relationship with 'Russian Doll' actress Natasha Lyonne since 2014.
Carol Burnett as Joan
The iconic comedian and actress rose to fame with 'The Carol Burnett Show' which originally aired on CBS and is touted to be one of the first-of-its-kind to be hosted by a woman. She created many memorable characters during the show's run, and both Burnett and the show won numerous Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. For her contribution to the field of comedy, she has been acknowledged time and again. Recognized as "one of America's most cherished entertainers", Burnett was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom "for enhancing the lives of millions of Americans and for her extraordinary contributions to American entertainment" by President George W Bush.
Golden Globes even named an award after Burnett for career achievement in television titled, the Carol Burnett Award, and she received the namesake first award in 2019. There was a brief period in the eighties when the actress suffered from addiction. Her marriage to television producer, Joe Hamilton, ended in divorce in 1984 during which her drug problems were cited as a part of the reason. But the couple took this opportunity to do good for the society, raising money for clinics and helping inform parents about handling similar issues. In 1988, Burnett took a trip to Moscow to help introduce the first Alcoholics Anonymous branch in the Soviet Union.
Judy Reyes as Donna
Reyes is best known for her role as Carla Espinosa in 'Scrubs' and as Zoila Diaz in the 'Devious Maids'. She is also known for her role as Annalise Zayas in 'Claws'. Reyes plays the role of Eva, executive producer of media conglomerate Waystar Royco's ATN news channel.
Apart from these lead actors, Taylor Richardson stars as Jordan, Rhenzy Feliz plays the role of Ty, CS Lee plays Father Chee, Anthony Jacques Jr stars as Ricky and Gerald Isaac Waters as Chad.
