'AGT' Season 18 Finale: Viewers call out Sofia Vergara's major goof-up during Anna DeGuzman's card act

Anna DeGuzman made history as the first female close-up magician to compete in the 'AGT' Season 18 finale

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Anna DeGuzman astounded the judges and the audience with her final trick by correctly identifying which card each of them had. 

On the other hand, fans of 'America's Got Talent' rushed to social media to focus on the performance mistake that left them unhappy.

Anna has already made history as the first female close-up magician to compete in the 'AGT' finale.

Anna felt she had to do something exceptional for her last performance because she was the only magician remaining in the competition.

She had each of the four judges choose one card from a complete deck and deposit it in an envelope as part of her act.

Anna managed to match card for card with Terry Crews after randomly selecting a group of cards between her and him, excluding one last card that only he had, which was the Queen of Hearts.

However, Queen of Hearts was also the card inside all the envelopes with the judges and audience members except Sofia Vergara, who appears to have flubbed the trick in her envelope.

Sofia complimented her for making the final as a woman, Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel were thrilled with the trick, and Heidi believes she "packed a punch" with the act.

Meanwhile, viewers were quick to call out Sofia, who didn't seem to have Queen of Hearts card in her envelope.

On X, fans wrote, "Am I the only who noticed that Sofia's card didn't seem to be the queen of hearts? Or am I wrong?" Another person chimed in, "Hmm someone might want to take a closer look at Sofia’s card."

Others called out the blunder saying, "Sofia got a different card and we all saw it." A fourth user quipped, "Pretty sure Sofia’s card was a Queen of Spades."

On Reddit, fans wrote, "Sophia didn't get the same card lol." Another viewer sighed, "I'd be happy to never see another card magician again."

Others commented, "Anna is a somewhat decent card magician, but her stage presence needs a ton of work. She always sounds like she's terrified. I get anxiety just listening to her speak. No idea how she was voted through."

A user also noted, "Yeah, i noticed she pulled the queen of spades. It also looked like the bottom third of her card was cut off or folded."

Anna is originally from the Philippines, but she now lives in New Jersey.

She participated in MTV's 'Amazingness' in 2018. In the same year, she also starred as herself in the short film 'Anna D' and as June Barcelona in the short film 'Break'.

She competed in an episode of the sixth season of 'Penn & Teller: Deceive Us' in 2019, but she was unable to deceive the duo.

She participated in the tenth season of 'Australia's Got Talent' in 2022, but was eliminated during the deliberations.

Sofia earned $10 million every season on 'AGT', as of October 2020, according to Forbes. It's unknown whether she's received a raise since then.

Based on the $10 million she supposedly makes every season of 'AGT', Sofia makes around $400,000 per episode for a 25-episode season.
