'America's Got Talent: Extreme' finally ended with one explosive finale. Of the 21 contestants, eight of them made the finale and the superfans voting system filtered it further pitting Aaron Wheelz and Alfredo Silva's Cage Riders in the end. The latter and his crew walked home as Extreme champions with a prize money of $500,000. The finale saw six contestants alongside Silva and Wheelz — Verge Aero, Cyndel Flores, Erika Lemay, Aaron Evans, and Jade Kindar-Martin.

The finale also some electric performances from Avril Lavigne and Travis Barker before judge Travis Pastrana showcased his daredevilry with a bike stunt. The two-hour finale saw Wheelz unsuccessfully attempt a backflip as his final stunt while Silva's crew did the same act they did during the auditions, but upped the danger quotient a notch with the fourth rider in a cage designed for three riders. The stunt was a smashing hit and they were crowned winners. However, fans cheered for both finalists as they felt the duo was deserving. With this, safe to say, there might be another season of the NBC show in the offing, and here's what we know about it so far.

When will 'AGT: Extreme' Season 2 release?

The season premiere of 'AGT: Extreme' in February had quite the audience, and considering the response it garnered, we can expect more acts and more episodes (including auditions). This would mean we could see a new season as early as the end of the year, or presumably early next year.

Who are the judges?

A still from 'AGT: Extreme' (NBC)

Expect the trio of Simon Cowell, Nikki Bella, and Travis Pastrana to return as the judges. Cowell is no stranger to judging marquee reality TV shows and his 'Got Talent' concept has attracted over a billion global viewers airing in 194 countries across the world. The EP has been responsible for launching more superstar careers than anyone else in history, including 'One Direction', Camila Cabello, and Leona Lewis to name a few.

Pastrana lends the punch with his decorated career as an extreme sports athlete, while Bella has been one of the more prominent figures in WWE and a hall of fame in the sport. Former American football linebacker, actor, and television host Terry Crews might return as the host as well. His charisma and humor has been well-received by the audience and it shouldn't come as a surprise if he's back on the panel.

Bella expressed her desire to be part of a potential Season 2. Talking to Hollywood life, she said they have her as a lifer. “As long as they’re going to be airing the show, I’m going to be on that panel, unless they get rid of me. But the chemistry was there from the beginning with all four of us, and we have such a fun time. Extreme is a part of my life. I thrive on an adrenaline rush. I understand everyone who comes in and, honestly, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had on any set in my entire life. So I’m praying there’s a season 2, and I’ll definitely be back."

She added: "I think if and when there’s a season 2, it’s going to be even bigger and crazier because now the extreme people are like, wait, I need to go there and do that. What’s really cool is that they get to create whatever they want, and Simon and his team make it come to life. I thought that was so badass."

Will the format of the show change?

'AGT: Extreme' garnered major flak for the finale as it had just two acts and the superfans voting most of the contestants out. The contestants were narrowed from finalists to Top 4 to Top 2 and could see some tweaking if it plans to extend the duration from four weeks to perhaps six.

Who are the showrunners?

Fremantle and Syco Entertainment are co-producing 'America's Got Talent: Extreme'. Executive producers are Simon Cowell, Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff, and Richard Wallace.
