Erica Glenn's 'Simon the Musical' gets YES from 'AGT' fans, after the judges buzz no to her act

Just like Simon, fans too were amused with Erica's performance and declared that she should have gotten a yes

Erica Glenn managed to accomplish what most contestants on 'America's Got Talent' can only dream of- being declared the best act by Simon Cowell. After earning the reputation of being a tough judge to impress, most contestants on the show go out of their way to impress Simon. Erica was no different.

For her season 17 audition, Erica decided to perform a musical to showcase her vocal prowess, but she didn't just choose any musical. The young performer composed a musical to honor Simon and named it 'Simon the Musical'. As soon as Erica began her performance, Heidi Klum immediately hit the no button, Sofia Vergara too followed in Heidi's footsteps. On the other hand, Simon was pictured thoroughly enjoying the act and even gave a standing ovation to Erica. Simon couldn't stop raving bout Erica's talent, while Heidi and Sofia complained about how their fellow judge didn't need anything else to boost his already inflated ego.

Just like Simon, fans too were amused with Erica's performance and declared that she should have gotten a yes. A fan tweeted, "If someone wrote a good “Simon! The Musical” I would love to see it #AGT." "Simon! The Musical: #AGT," wrote an amused fan. "I actually liked the @SimonCowell musical! #AGT," expressed a fan. "@SimonCowell should have given her the #GoldenBuzzer #AGT," joked a fan. "This @SimonCowell song #AGT ," mocked another fan.

Erica's musical act wasn't the only one that featured Simon disagreeing with his fellow judges' verdict. Shenay Kloss's act featuring a cockroach obstacle course, got a yes from Simon, while Sofia and Heidi had to give it a hard pass. Unfortunately, the recently aired episode didn't feature their fellow judge Howie Mandel, as he was on leave due to health issues. Hopefully, Howie's return will restore balance and order amongst the judges.
