'Agents of SHIELD' Season 7 Episode 4 Preview: Will Daniel Sousa join Coulson in the fight to save SHIELD?
'Agents of SHIELD' brought in Agent Daniel Sousa (Envar Gjokaj), plenty of easter eggs and reveals in 'Alien Commies From The Future'. And from the looks of it, the series isn't done with Sousa just yet, and to add to the '50s vibe, Episode 4 will be a black and white affair. The promo and the synopsis promises an intriguing storyline and some slam-bang action with Sousa being at the center of it all. With the Chronicoms relentless in their pursuit to take down SHIELD, the agents have their task cut out.
The promo hints at rewriting history. Sousa was the first man to be taken out after he found out HYDRA had infiltrated SHIELD. Mack (Henry Simmons) decides to change this by protecting the agent and that might just be what we may see in the series. Right now, the biggest fan theory doing the rounds is that Sousa will join the Agents. This speculation stems from the fact he was in the season trailer and that gives fans hope that they haven't seen the last of the agent.
The official synopsis reads: "It was just another average morning on July 22, 1955, when Agent Phil Coulson realized the importance of that day in SHIELD history books. With a chip on his shoulder and a genre-bending glitch in his system, he'd set into motion a chain of events that would hopefully preserve the timeline as we know it and ensure those pesky chronicoms get the ending they deserve. What could go wrong?"
Fans' comments on the promo of Episode 4 titled' Out of the Past' had some interesting theories:
Fan Theory #1: "Think that Sousa is going to the AOS team since Coulson said that not EVERYTHING is in the history books. The history books say that Sousa died because HYDRA took him out, but actually, they took him on their team!!! Also, in the season trailer, Sousa is with May, Coulson, and Daisy but they weren't wearing the clothes from the decade that they were in Episode 3."
Fan Theory #2: "In the Agents of SHIELD Season 7 trailer, Sousa and Mack are wearing modern clothes in the Zephyr plane. This happens in the 1:30 mark. Check it out. Sousa looks like he's going to join the team."
Fan Theory #3: "Daniel Sousa will most probably be left in the future, that's how we saw him in 'The Avengers' in 2012."
