It took a while, but the Agents figured out the Chronicoms first target in 1931, it wasn't FDR as we were led to believe for a major part of the episode. Rather, it was it’s Wilfred “Freddie” Malick, grandfather of future Head of HYDRA, Gideon Malick. 'The New Lead' is a promising start with plenty of action, classic Coulson humor, and some shell-shockers.  The episode ended with Coulson and Co figuring out that they need to save HYDRA to make sure the course of history isn't changed. The upcoming episode, titled 'Know Your Onions', comes with an interesting logline.

The official synopsis reads: "With the identity of the timeline-unraveling 'thread' revealed, the team’s mission to protect him at all costs leads each agent to question their own values. Is preserving the future of the world as they know it worth the destruction they could prevent?" From the promo that was released last week, the viewers saw the Triskelion is all set to be blown up in the upcoming episode.

The building was originally destroyed in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' after the heli-carrier that was part of "Project Insight" was brought down by Captain America (Chris Evans), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) in their battle against HYDRA.

However, this could all probably be one of the thoughts in the character's minds should we look at analyzing the synopsis. The first stern challenge is for Deke (Jeff Ward) on deciding whether he has to kill Freddie (Darren Barnet), however, we can also see Mack ordering him to stand down. Fan theory states that Mack made the right call as the Chronicoms would obviously look to take down Freddy effectively ending HYDRA. At the moment, the episode is placed in such a way that their 1931 stay might be awhile.

That said, the promo also showcased Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) back in action. She was missing from her tissue regeneration pod and is ready to pounce on Enoch. This just adds to the team's benefit. However, the bigger dilemma might be the agents and their thoughts on preserving the future. Also, if the Triskelion isn't imagination, will they be traveling to 2014?

What are your thoughts on the events that may unfold in 'Know your Onions'?

Agents of SHIELD airs on Wednesdays at 10 pm ET on ABC.
