‘After Ever Happy’ trailer: Fans call Hardin and Tessa’s sizzling chemistry 'intense as hell’

The highly anticipated trailer of 'After Ever Happy', the newest and final installment of the 'After' film franchise has been dropped by the makers on July 14 ahead of its September release. The engaging romantic drama traces the evolution of its main characters Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) and Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) and their tumultuous relationship. Ever since the trailer was released, fans have been raving about the sizzling chemistry between the main leads. ‘After Ever Happy’ is helmed by Castille London and the screenplay is written by Sharon Soboil. 

After’, the first film of the series, raked in $70 million globally at the box office in April 2019, whereas ‘After We Collided’ garnered approximately $21 million in terms of global collections even when it was released in midst of a pandemic in October 2020 in theaters. The films were a hit amongst the masses and critics. ‘After We Fell’, which dropped in September 2021 in theatres, earned a total of $21.6 million globally and was deemed a hit film by all sections of audiences and critics.

In the new trailer, the love between Hardin and Tessa is stronger but is it enough to make them feel complete? Hardin is now a renowned writer who pens a book about his relationship with Tessa who is livid about this discovery. But Hardin wants every person reading the novel to feel hopeful about being in love. Hardin is fighting his demons and Tessa tries to escape by changing her name and feigning a whole new identity as Theresa in a different place. Between their past and their future, lies their one last chance to make things right. The trailer is full of emotional backdrops, and ever-evolving characters with an intriguing storyline.

Ardent 'After' fans are really excited to watch the film in theatres and took to social media to opine their views on the trailer. “Wow this looks absolutely intense as hell. I am looking forward to it but also feeling like I will tissues. When is the UK release?” said a fan. “Not me watching and sobbing because I’ve been there since WATTPAD and now I’m seeing this amazing story come to fruition,” added another fan.

“This movie is going to break me. I can already tell but I’m so damn EXCITED to watch it. Omg can’t believe it’s the last one already #AfterEverHappy,” shared a fan. “Omg wow!
