Adina Porter thought 'The Morning Show' was a rom-com until first day on the set of Apple TV+ show
Adina Porter is thrilled to be a part of 'The Morning Show' on Apple TV+ where she gets a chance to work closely with Hollywood icons like Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon, Emmy winner Jennifer Aniston, and Golden Globe winner Steve Carell.
"It was intimidating at first. And then you breathe and then you do all of your acting exercises", she told MEA WorldWide when asked about her experience on the show so far at Hollywood Film Awards red carpet on Sunday. "I think I've been in the business for long enough, I think I earned my spot," she added.
Having worked with showrunner Kerry Ehrin in the past, Porter was all praise about Ehrin and only had good things to say about her. "I've worked with her in 'Leftovers' and another movie. I was very happy to be invited back into the fold," she said.
When asked if she was comfortable with the show's handling of its sensitive theme and its overall portrayal of the #MeToo movement, Porter said that she had no problem being close to issues that represent our reality.
She also revealed that, initially, she was not given the full script for the show. "I first saw them all and I thought it would be a rom-com, but it wasn't until the first day on set that I realized, 'Oh! We are talking about real things here,'" Porter added.
Although she was caught off guard a little bit, she admits she was happy to be part of the show.
We also asked Porter about her experience while working with 'AHS' and 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy. She said, "I could never tell about that, but I'll just say that I am invited to everything and you never know what I would pop up in... Yeah, I am still very much a part of the Ryan Murphy family."
'AHS: 1984' fans, do you think she is going to return to the show, or make a cameo in any of the coming episodes?
