'The Bachelorette': Who is Antonia Lofaso? Here's how Ben Smith knows celebrated chef from Selena Gomez's show
'The Bachelorette' is reaching its end and the time is finally here when Tayshia Adams decides who's she saying yes to. It's down to her top four - Ben Smith, Zac Clark, Brendan Morais, and Ivan Hall - and this week, it was all about her meeting up with their families and special ones.
After host Chris Harrison announced that their loved ones have been flown in from their home towns and were quarantining themselves in the resort, Ben appeared emotional but there were barely tears. He said he was looking forward to meeting with his sister, Madalyn, whom he has mentioned often on the show. But fans were left curious as to what celebrated chef Antonia Lofaso was doing on the show. Many were familiar with her face but couldn't place her from where they had seen her.
The Chef appeared on 'Top Chef', 'Chopped', 'Restaurant Startup', and more recently on 'Selena + Chef', where she helped singer-actress Selena Gomez cook up an octopus. It was quite the experience for Selena, who at first was weirded out by the protein of choice but with some guidance was able to go through with it. Antonia is a French Culinary Institute graduate and is currently an executive chef at Black Market Liquor Bar, Los Angeles. Along with serving up delicacies for years, making a name for herself in the food industry and beyond, she has also authored a cookbook title 'The Busy Mom's Cookbook: 100 Recipes for Quick, Delicious, Home-Cooked Meals'.
So, how do Ben and Antonia know each other? Ben is an army veteran and a fitness guru, who runs the Deuce Gym. Antonia is one of his clients, he trains her. But their relationship goes beyond fitness, they are great friends and often hang out with each other. The two often share posts about each other on social media.
