The news regarding the delay in the airing of the next installment of ‘Stumptown’ has slightly stung fans as Episode 16 was premiered after a hiatus of two weeks. With only two episodes left until its conclusion, ABC has decided to push the release date of Episode 17 titled ‘The Dex Files’ to two weeks later.

According to reports, Episode 17 of ‘Stumptown’ will be airing on March 18. However, the change in the air time owing to the daylight saving is yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, fans of Cobie Smulders’s show are eagerly waiting to see what the finale has in store for then. The drama series which only exposed us to the self-destructive side of Dex (played by Smulders) in the last episode, gave us a better insight into her past and her life overall.

In Episode 15, ‘At All Costs: The Conrad Costas Chronicles’, we saw Dex going back and forth a lot about rekindling old relationships. Call it self-motivation or a push from Grey McConnell, she finally brings herself to try and meet her parents only to learn about their demise.

Meanwhile, the last episode ‘All Quiet on the Dextern Front’ revealed the reason behind the disheartening memories of her past and why she blames herself for Benny’s death.

Towards the end of the episode, she even goes to meet with Benny’s mother Sue and confronts her. Although Sue was completely forgiving of Dex, the latter seems to be struggling to achieve some peace herself.

Fans on watching the last episode have lauded the series for creating a character with issues they can relate with.

While one wrote, “I love that they're dealing honestly and accurately with what PTSD can mean for a vet. It's just really hard sometimes for a vet who has it.”

“#Stumptown is a fantastic show! I love @CobieSmulders so much she's a Canadian National Treasure!! I like how they implemented her character Dex having PTSD which is a real issue that many veterans face!, ” added another.

‘Stumptown’ airs on Wednesdays on ABC.
