'Shark Tank' Season 12 Episode 4: Joe Biden speech interrupts show, angry fans ask 'couldn't he wait till 11pm?'

'Shark Tank' fans were left feeling annoyed and disappointed when they saw 2020 US election coverage on their screen instead of the hit reality show

The ongoing presidential elections have managed to spike up the stress levels amongst people, as they anxiously await for the results. During this stressful time, people have begun turning to food and entertainment for some relief and respite from the extensive elections coverage. So, when 'Shark Tank' fans excitedly tuned in to ABC, to catch up on their weekly dose of the Emmy Award-winning entrepreneurial reality show, they were left feeling disappointed. Instead of seeing the familiar faces of the sharks aka Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Kevin O'Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, and Robert Herjavec, fans saw election news playing on their screens.

Needless to say, fans were taken aback on seeing their favorite reality show being replaced by elections coverage. They were left feeling even more disappointed when they learned that the show had been pushed to 10 pm E.T., and they would have to wait for an additional two hours to catch up on their beloved 'Shark Tank. Fans took to their Twitter to express their annoyance and disappointment with the network for pushing 'Shark Tank' to a later slot and airing election news instead.

Many fans made it clear that they were more keen on watching the reality show instead of the election coverage. A fan tweeted, "Me: "Aaah, looking forward to getting away from election talk & watch 'Shark Tank' on ABC. ABC: "We interrupt Shark Tank to talk about the election..." #SharkTank #Election2020results #ABC." Another fan wrote, "#SharkTank I can't believe they are moving my show when the electoral votes haven't moved in 2days! They don't know that's what people are waiting on? Hmmm ....well mami don't wanna watch this."

Fans felt that ABC should have just aired 'Shark Tank' instead of election coverage, as the other networks were continuing to air their regularly scheduled programs. A fan expressed, "Since NBC and CBS are running regular programming ABC should just air Shark Tank. Much preferable to the extended BS for ratings to avoid calling the election. #CallTheElection #CallTheRace #callit #sharktank @abc." "Man #SharkTank got preempted because somebody can’t #CallTheElection. At least #HouseHunters international is on," shared a fan. Another fan declared, "Friggin election BS preempted #SharkTank." 

After waiting for nearly two hours, as fans were just beginning to enjoy catching up on their favorite show, they were once again in for a rude surprise. While Akeem Shannon, was pitching for Flipstik, the last pitch of the episode, the show ended abruptly, and Presidential candidate, Joe Biden's speech began airing. Fans were annoyed with the interruption, and began wondering why Biden couldn't wait for another couple of minutes before making his big speech. A fan tweeted, "Couldn’t Biden wait until 11? Interrupting #SharkTank is really rude." Another fan wrote, "F***en shit! I was all into this guys “flipstik”? on #SharkTank and now Biden decides to come out and given his damn speech."

'Shark Tank' Season 12 airs tonight at 10 pm ET on ABC.
