Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock) has only one chance to prove himself innocent. After he failed to get any witness to testify for him during his previous trial, a copy of his original case acquired from the NYPD has provided him with an opportunity for a re-trial. But, will he be able to make the most of it?

In Episode 5 of ‘For Life’, under the pretext of representing one of his fellow inmates, Aaron tries to expose the District Attorney office. However, Aaron’s attempt was of no avail as  Dez O’ Reilly (Erik Jensen) works his dubious plan, threatening the latter of revoking his privileges.

With five episodes under its belt, ‘For Life’ has most skillfully presented before us a man who is determined to overturn his conviction and doesn’t seem to stop at anything to get the results. So much so that he even involved his wife in a crime out of his desperation but it somehow went unnoticed.

But, in the latest episode, Aaron was driven by more than just desperation as he’s now seeking revenge on the NYPD for framing him for a crime he never committed. Although his intentions are right and the consequence of which could serve a larger good, Aaron is intentionally or unintentionally undermining his enemies.

With less three months until the next elections, the DA officials are leaving no stone unturned to stall Aaron’s big plan to expose NYPD. Does that mean they are aware of Aaron’s next move?

Meanwhile, the prison warden Safiya Masry (Indira Varma) has wreaked havoc with her recent drug bust, which has turned Aaron into a snitch in the eyes of the inmates. Not only has he turned the wrath of his own men, but also irked Wild Billy, who was waiting for a reason to attack Aaron.

Aaron may have developed the best of skills during his time in prison to bring justice to many who are suffering at the hands of the system similar to him, but it remains to be seen if it could come of any help in his own case as he has bigger threats to face than he could imagine in jail itself.

'For Life' airs on Tuesdays on ABC.
