Aaron Carter clicked with new girlfriend on grocery run merely a week after dumping pregnant fiancée
Aaron Carter was photographed out on a grocery run with his new girlfriend, Viktoria Alexeeva, just days after ending his chaotic relationship with fiancée and the soon-to-be baby mama, Melanie Martin.
The duo was spotted stocking up on supplies at a Vons supermarket in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 26, wearing face masks. On the same say that he was first seen in the company of his new girlfriend, he posted intimate photos with Viktoria on Instagram Stories, Daily Mail reported.
In one of them, Alexeeva was lying in his lap while they relaxed in a poppy field. "My life my choices," he captioned the photo.
Meanwhile, Martin, who is a social media influencer posted a distressing post on April 25, causing many of the users to wonder if she was going through mental health issues post her breakup with Carter.
"At this point I don't care if I get covid and die," she wrote. "Nothing in life is worth living for. [My] heart has been broken and won't be able to be repaired to move onto normal life again."
On April 21, Martin and Carter announced that they were expecting. On Instagram Live, Carter showed fans what appeared to be a positive pregnancy test. "Obviously I have a baby on the way. I'm going to be a busy father for sure," he said, before adding: "This is the official announcement. We're pregnant."
However, 24 hours later, the pair had broken up. The news was relayed by Martin by sharing a photo of them kissing with just a broken heart emoji as the caption.
Around a month before the pair shared the news of their pregnancy, Martin was arrested for domestic assault after an incident with Carter at his Lancaster home. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of violence on March 29 around 11 pm and discovered Carter's arms covered in marks of a physical assault — images of which he shared with his social media followers — believed to be inflicted by Martin.
Martin was held in custody for a number of days on a $50,000 bail.
At the time Carter told TMZ that Martin claimed that she was pregnant but he was pretty sure that she was "lying." Following the incident, he pair unfollowed each other on Instagram, which their fans took to mean that they were not going to get back together again.
Shortly after, Carter took to Twitter and urged people to not put up with domestic violence. "You don't have to wait for someone to treat you bad repeatedly. All it takes is once, and if they get away with it that once, if they know they can treat you like that, then it sets the pattern for the future," he said.
Martin was not the first woman Carter had dated who was accused of domestic abuse. He previously had a volatile relationship with artist Lina Valentina, who also faced similar allegations.
The 'That's How I Beat Shaq' singer got serious with Martin, even tattooing her name on his face. In February, he sparked rumors that he was planning to propose after he was seen in a ring shopping session on Instagram.
