Spoilers ahead for Episode 5 'Austin' of Season 2 of 'A Million Little Things'

Romany Malco's Rome is definitely our most favorite character in season two of 'A Million Little Things'. In the latest episode, he offered men everywhere a lesson in apologizing to women.

In episode five 'Austin', Rome is directing a new commercial when Gina (Christina Moses) pays him a visit on the sets. Rome had earlier told Gina that he would take the commercial assignment in order to support her decision to fully own the restaurant.

On the sets, Rome's crew is very excited about the brand new spin that he has given to the commercial, which makes Gina eager to watch it.

However, she soon realizes that Rome's commercial plays out a lot like a conversation they had — Rome had expressed his desire for a baby but Gina refused.

Pissed, she tells Rome that it is a little passive-aggressive that he would do this. He immediately tells her he's sorry if the commercial offended Gina.

But the "if" was wrong — Gina corrects him saying that the use of the word "if" sounds like she's mental to have gotten offended.

They, however, don't get the chance to talk it out because Gina had to rush back to the restaurant as Rome's parents will be coming to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

At the restaurant, everything is going just alright till Rome's father Walter (Lou Beatty Jr.) gifts his mother Renee the Alaskan cruise that she has been wanting to go on for the longest time.

But when he gives her the gift, he tells her that now he doesn't have to talk about it again almost implying that she had nagged him for it.

Renee asks him to leave because she doesn't want a gift like this. He leaves and Gina tries to talk him down in the kitchen. But Walter is adamant and asks Gina if Rome had ever asked her to do something that she did not want to do, did she do it?

She answers no and he says that he shouldn't have to do what he doesn't want to either before storming out of the kitchen.

It looks like Rome and Gina would have to sleep on the couch tonight, but when they get home, Walter is already there in a sea captain outfit ready to apologize to Renee. He tells her that after putting up with him for 50 years, she deserves anything she wants.

Later when they are alone, Rome apologizes to Gina saying, "I'm sorry if...", but he quickly corrects himself and says, "I'm sorry that the commercial offended you."

And that is how you apologize. You take charge of your actions and accept that it has hurt the other person. Fans did appreciate it too. "I'm sorry if — I'm sorry THAT. Yes. That's how you apologize."

'A Million Little Things' airs on Thursdays at 9|8c on ABC.
